Faced with an increasingly competitive dynamic environment,more and more companies are implementing entrepreneurial orientation strategies to maintain their ability to adapt to dynamic and changing environments,and to build continuous competitive advantage.At the same time,along with the rise of behavioral economics,the influence of managers' special early experiences on corporate strategic decision-making has recently become a research hotspot in the field of strategic management.Among them,the military in China's national conditions is another important growth path for individuals in addition to higher education.In addition,China's special demobilization and reintegration mode makes the experience of executives from the military have important research significance.Based on upper echelon theory,imprinting theory and matching thoughts in the contingency view of strategic management,this study examines the impact of executives on the entrepreneurial orientation strategy from the military experience,and further clarifies the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation strategy and corporate innovation performance,and explores the impact of the matching between executives' experience and entrepreneurial orientation on corporate innovation performance.The relevant information and annual data of China's A-share companies from 2007 to 2016 constitute the research samples,the empirical results show that the executive's military experience positive influence on corporate entrepreneurial orientation strategy,early executives had military experience,its stronger entrepreneurial orientation strategy in the enterprise;entrepreneurial orientation strategy had inverted u-shaped relationship between the enterprises' innovation performance,a moderate amount of entrepreneurial orientation strategy can improve the enterprises' innovation performance,and too strong entrepreneurial orientation strategy will reduce the enterprises' innovation performance;executive's military experience negative to moderate the u-shaped relationship between entrepreneurial orientation strategy and enterprises' innovation performance,early executives had military experience,its place between corporate entrepreneurial orientation strategy and innovation performance of inverted u-shaped relationship is weaker.The relevant research conclusions clarify the mechanism of interaction between executives' military experience,entrepreneurial orientation strategy and corporate innovation performance,and theoretically promote the development and application of upper echelon theory in the study of entrepreneurial strategy,enriching the motivation of the entrepreneurial orientation strategy of localized enterprises,deepening the research on the mechanism of the matching between executives and corporate strategies on innovation performance,in practice,has certain reference significance for high-management decision-making and internal resource allocation.
