Since the reform and opening up,China's urbanization speed has increased rapidly and the industrial structure has been continuously adjusted. In the process of urbanization,a large number of rural people are attracted to urban employment. At the same time,in the adjustment of industrial structure, the rationalization of industrial structure has caused the non-agriculturalization of rural population, the transfer is from rural to urban areas, and the rationalization of industrial structure has supported urbanization.Whether urbanization or rationalization of industrial structure has caused the income of rural population to increase. However, when the absolute number of incomes is increasing, the Gini coefficient announced by the National Bureau of Statistics in 2016 is 0.465,reflecting that the problem of urban-rural income gap in China is still serious.Relevant scholars have found that the problem of insufficient industrial service orientation in the industrial structure adjustment is conducive to the limit of rural population income. At the same time, urbanization has increased external costs, which has intensified the lack of service orientation in the industrial structure. In the existing literature, the research on urban-rural income gap in Hubei Province is not deep enough from the perspective of urbanization and industrial structure adjustment. Moreover, the income gap between urban and rural areas in Hubei Province which is the most important province in central China, has shown a narrowing trend. In this context, this paper focuses on the mechanism of the impact of urbanization, industrial restructuring, interrelationship between urbanization and industrial restructuring on the urban-rural income gap in Hubei Province.First of all, based on the research of domestic and foreign scholars, this paper combines the definition of related concepts, and expounds the theory of urbanization, industrial structure and income gap.Secondly, according to the statistical yearbook of Hubei Province and the rural statistical yearbook of Hubei Province, the urbanization, industrial structure adjustment and urban-rural income gap of Hubei Province are described.Thirdly, through the combination of theory and related literature, the theoretical analysis of urbanization, industrial restructuring and urban-rural income difference has been strengthened and corresponding assumptions have been put forward. Then, the sample of this paper is selected as the panel statistics of 156 groups from 2005 to 2016 in 13 prefecture-level cities in Hubei Province.Using mediator variables and constructing a quantitative analysis method are for interaction items. From the perspective of rural non-agricultural measurement urbanization and industrial structure adjustment divided into industrial structure supererogation and rationalization of industrial structure, and the relationship between the three is empirically studied,so that the impact path between the three is clearer. The empirical results are in line with the assumptions of this paper.Raising the level of urbanization is conducive to narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas;subdividing industrial restructuring into in the industrial structure supererogation and rationalization of industrial structure, and the industrial structure supererogation is conducive to increasing the urban-rural income gap.At the same time, the industrial structure supererogation is affected by urbanization, which is conducive to increasing the urban-rural income gap.The rationalization of the industrial structure is beneficial to the narrowing of the urban-rural income gap,and the rationalization of the industrial structure has strengthened the effect of urbanization on the narrowing of the urban-rural income gap. Finally, drawing conclusions and proposing how to narrow the urban-rural income gap: accelerating the process of urban-rural integration and easing the priority of rural development in alleviating the urban-rural dual economic structure.Promoting the transformation of industrial structure in an all-round way about the industrial structure supererogation and rationalization of industrial structure.
