With the advent of Web2.0 and Innovation 2.0,the new wave of "grassroots entrepreneurship" and "public entrepreneurship" are constantly setting off. With the continuous improvement of start-up costs and the increasing threshold of entrepreneurship by local governments, most small and micro enterprises have difficulty finding suitable space and external resources when starting a business. In this context, the emergence of makerspaces is very good to cater to the small and micro enterprises’ need for entrepreneurial space and resources. The context that small and micro enterprises choose to enter makerspaces has become the main mode in the current entrepreneurial scenario. The growth of small and micro enterprises depends largely on the services provided by makerspaces. How these services affect the entrepreneurial performance of small and micro enterprises and what role the resource endowment of enterprises plays in it need to be studied. So we conduct research to understand the "black box" of the makerspaces’ impact on small and micro enterprises. In order to study the impact of makerspaces on entrepreneurial performance of small and micro enterprises, this paper chooses small and micro enterprises as the research object.According to existing research and grounded theory, makerspaces service capability is divided into four dimensions: financing service, basic service, space and facilities service, and value-added service. It also refines the relationship among makerspaces service capability, resource endowment and entrepreneurial performance.Combined with the results of literature and grounded theory,we put forward hypotheses, and use structural equation model to empirical research.Empirical analysis mainly explores the following issues: First, whether the capacity of makerspaces service has an impact on the entrepreneurial performance of small and micro enterprises.Second, whether the capacity of makerspaces service has an impact on the resource endowment of small and micro enterprises.Third, whether the resource endowment of small and micro enterprises has an impact on entrepreneurial performance.Fourth, the mechanism of the service capacity of various dimensions of makerspaces affecting entrepreneurial performance through resources. The results show that:(1)Financing service capability, space and facilities service capability, and value-added service capability have a positive impact on entrepreneurial performance significantly. The impact of basic service capability on entrepreneurship performance is not significant.(2)Financing service capability and value-added service capability have a positive impact on resource endowment.space and facilities service capability have a significantly positive impact on technological capital.basic service capability have a negative impact on human capital.(3)Resource endowment has a significantly positive impact on entrepreneurship performance.(4)The service capacity of makerspaces can indirectly affect the entrepreneurship performance of small and micro enterprises through human capital or technological capital. Finally, based on the above conclusions, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the key points of building the service capacity of makerspaces and how small and micro enterprises can obtain complementary resources to realize the commercial value of their entrepreneurial resources.
