Research On The Relationship Between Supply Chain Relationship Quality,Learning From Failure And Product Innovation Performance

Enterprise development is inseparable from innovation.Product innovation is the carrier of enterprise innovation and a key factor affecting enterprise development.Therefore,it is an urgent problem for enterprises to improve product performance if they want to have competitive advantages in the fierce market environment.Due to the complexity and uncertainty of the product innovation process,it is difficult to complete by relying on the strength of a single enterprise,and developing good supply chain relationship has an important impact on enterprise innovation.Enterprise as an individual is not exist independently and is part of the whole supply chain.It can acquire relevant resources from the supply chain member enterprises and apply it to its own innovation and development.The acquired resources can be knowledge of market demand,product improvement,etc.,or some failed cases.By setting up a knowledge governance mechanism,enterprises can carry out learning from failure activities and apply knowledge to product innovation to enhance product innovation performance.In this background,this paper takes the manufacturing industries and a few service industries as the research object,and conducts research on the basic framework of “supply chain relationship quality--learning from failure--product innovation performance”,using a series of literature research,questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis for research methods and mathematical statistics tools such as SPSS and AMOS for empirical analysis.By integrating supply chain management theory,stakeholder theory and organizational learning theory,the research is carried out from three aspects to clarify the mechanism of supply chain relationship quality and product innovation performance.Firstly,as an independent variable,supply chain relationship quality is divided into two dimensions of trust and commitment,and respectively study the relationship between the innovation performance of the dependent variable product.Secondly,learning from failure as a mediating variable is studied to see whether it has mediating effect in the model.Finally,the moderator variable of knowledge governance is introduced and divided into formal knowledge governance and informal knowledge governance to verify whether it plays a moderating role in the relationship between supply chain relationship quality and product innovation performance.Through empirical analysis,the following conclusions are drawn :(1)The quality level of establishing a good supply chain relationship is conducive to improving the product enterprises innovation performance,that is,enhancing the trust and commitment between enterprises in the supply chain is conducive to improving the product enterprises innovation performance of.(2)Good supply chain relationship quality between enterprises can promote the development of learning form failure activities,that is,enhancing trust and commitment can promote the development learning from failure.(3)Learning from failure activities carried out by enterprises play a significant role in promoting product innovation performance.(4)Learning from failure plays an intermediary role in the relationship between supply chain relationship quality and product innovation performance,that is,supply chain relationship quality indirectly affects product innovation performance through learning from failure.(5)Both formal and informal knowledge governance play a moderating role in the relationship between supply chain relationship quality and product innovation performance,that is,knowledge governance can strengthen the relationship between supply chain relationship quality and product innovation performance.The research conclusion can not only enrich and expand the theory of supply chain relationship quality,but also provide some theoretical and empirical basis for enterprise managers,and have certain enlightenment for enterprises to improve product innovation performance.
