Agriculture is the main source of income for farmers. In order to fundamentally solve the problem of farmers' income, the central and local governments have corresponding policies every year to support and encourage farmers' production and sales problems, and to develop farmers to become stable suppliers of agriculture.Based on this background, this paper considers three different modes of agricultural supply chain, and analyses the impact of different modes on farmers' integration into the supply chain, profits and stability.Considering the externalities of cooperatives, the supply chain models under three operation modes are established. The solution shows that for the competition among farmers in single-channel supply chain,direct-selling farmers can only improve their competitiveness by improving their efficiency, while farmers joining cooperatives can improve their competitiveness through the externalities of cooperatives. Moreover, whether cooperative farmers can integrate into the agricultural supply chain is only related to the negative externalities of cooperatives, and has nothing to do with the scale economy of cooperatives. In the dual-channel supply chain of agricultural products, the externality of cooperatives will affect both cooperatives and individual farmers. When the scale economy of cooperatives is larger than a certain threshold value, there is exclusiveness between cooperative farmers and non-cooperative farmers.By comparing and analyzing the maximum profits of farmers under different modes,it is found that the profits of farmers joining cooperatives will decrease with the increase of negative externalities of cooperatives, while the profits of individual farmers will increase with the increase of negative externalities.Only in the "farmer + cooperative" single-channel supply chain, the farmer's profit increases with the increase of the scale economy of the cooperative. In the dual-channel supply chain, the profit of cooperative farmers is not always positively related to the scale economy of cooperatives. When the optimal output of cooperative farmers is not related to the scale economy, the profit of cooperative farmers decreases with the increase of the scale economy.Similarly, farmers in cooperatives do not absolutely benefit from the increase in the proportion of profits allocated to cooperatives.Only when farmers of cooperatives provide agricultural products, the profits of farmers of cooperatives increase with the increase of the proportion of profit distribution. This paper further considers the willingness of farmers to join(quit)cooperatives in the dual-channel supply chain, and analyses the stability of the dual-channel supply chain based on the two-way stability theory. From the point of view of supply chain stability, the scale economy, the number of people and the proportion of profit distribution of cooperatives have a certain range, within which cooperatives are stable. In addition, when the scale economy of cooperatives is larger than a certain threshold value, there is an exclusive situation for farmers in the two channels. This paper proposes to give agricultural subsidies to cooperatives in order to alleviate the exclusiveness of cooperatives when the scale economy is larger, and to guarantee the coexistence and common production enthusiasm of farmers in the two channels.
