As an important part of the tertiary industry, the logistics industry plays an important supporting role in the development of the national economy and the prosperity of the regional economy. However, the rapid development of the logistics industry has accelerated the consumption of high-carbon energy such as coal and has caused increasingly serious pollution to the environment.According to the “Medium and Long-term Planning for Logistics Industry Development(2014-2020)”,the main principles of the current development of logistics industry are energy conservation, environmental protection, and efficiency improvement, and the main task is to strive to develop green logistics.Promoting the coordination between the logistics industry and the environment is a problem that cannot be ignored in regional economic development. However, due to spatial differences in the distribution of resources across China's provinces, the development of regional logistics industry is unbalanced, which restricts the overall level of China's logistics industry. Therefore,in order to enrich and expand the existing research results, this thesis focuses on the regional logistics industry efficiency measurement and its spatial effects. The main research contents are as follows:(1)Analyzing the differences in regional logistics industry efficiency: Based on the data of logistics industry in China's 30 provinces from 2006 to 2016,this study constructs a reasonable input-output index system, and uses the DEA model and the SBM model with carbon emissions as undesired outputs to measure the efficiency of regional logistics industry, and analyzing the changes of regional logistics industry efficiency after the addition of undesired outputs. The results show that the efficiency of regional logistics industry is low and unbalanced, and the resource utilization rate of the logistics industry is low.The efficiency value considering the undesired output is lower than the efficiency value without considering the undesired output.Environmental factors such as carbon emissions have an important impact on the development of regional logistics industry.(2)Testing the spatial correlation of regional logistics industry efficiency: Establishing a spatial weight matrix of geographic adjacencies, the spatial correlation of regional logistics industry efficiency is tested by global Moran's I,and the clustering feature of the spatial distribution of local regions is analyzed by local Moran scatter plots. The results show that the regional logistics industry efficiency has a significant positive correlation in spatial distribution, and as time progresses,it presents a constantly fluctuating clustering feature. It has formed a positive correlation area of high logistics industry efficiency such as Shanghai,Tianjin,Jiangsu and low logistics industry efficiency in Xinjiang,Shaanxi,Guangxi and Yunnan.(3)Exploring the causes of differences in regional logistics industry efficiency: Based on the summary of relevant literatures, the model with the best estimate is selected by using the Lagrange multiplier test and comparing the spatial econometric models in three different situations. Then the influencing factors of regional logistics industry efficiency are analyzed. It is concluded that the level of urbanization, the degree of opening up,the level of transportation infrastructure, the market demand of logistics industry and the resource endowment all have a positive impact on logistics industry efficiency. And the degree of opening up and the market demand of the logistics industry have the greatest impact.
