During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan",The key focus of China's agricultural development direction is to accelerate the structural reform on the agricultural supply side.Planting is the backbone of the agricultural industry. The optimization and adjustment of agricultural planting structure is the key to ensure the effective supply of agricultural products and promote the sustainable increase of farmers' income. However,it still faces a series of new challenges while adjusting agricultural planting structure. In particular, the rising cost of rural labor and farmland transfer leads to a rapid rise in agricultural production costs. Therefore,it is urgent to study and solve the problem whether the increase of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost will significantly affect the agricultural planting structure. How to deal with the impact of rising rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure. In the background of agricultural supply-side structural reform and rural revitalization strategy implementation, the paper studies the relationship between rural labor cost, farmland transfer cost and agricultural planting structure. It has important practical significance to optimize agricultural planting structure and ensure the effective supply of agricultural products.According to the theories, the influence of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure. On the one hand, factor endowments influence farmers' production behavior, thus affecting agricultural planting structure. On the other hand, the increase of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost influences farmers' production behavior through product substitution effect, thus affecting agricultural planting structure. This paper adopts the fixed effect model.Provincial macro data were used from 2000 to 2017.We study the influence of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure. The empirical results showed that the labor cost in rural areas increases by 1% and the proportion of grain crops sown increased by 3.3%.Rural labor cost has an overall negative influence on the proportion of non-grain crops sown.Labor costs in rural areas increases by 1%,and the proportion of feed crops sown in non-grain crops increased by 5.1%.The proportion of cash crop planting was reduced by 9.5%.The rising cost of labor in rural areas has promoted the adjustment of agricultural planting structure to food crops and feed crops. The cost of farmland transfer has a negative influence on the planting proportion of both grain crops and non-grain crops. The cost of farmland transfer increases by 1% and the proportion of grain sown decreased by 3.9%.The proportion of feed crops sown in non-food crops decreased by 2.7%.The proportion of cash crops sown decreased by 4.1%.The rising cost of farmland transfer inhibits the adjustment of agricultural planting structure.Taking into account the cost-benefit levels of various crops and the differences within the agricultural planting structure.A number of representative crops were selected for robustness test.Further research results show that the influence of rural labor costs on the proportion of crops planted inside food crops and cash crops inside non-food crops is significantly different.Within grain crops, rural labor cost has a significant positive effect on rice planting proportion. But a significant negative effect on wheat planting proportion.Within cash crops, rural labor cost has a significant positive effect on the proportion of rapeseed planting, but a significant negative effect on peanut and cotton crops. The influence of farmland transfer cost on the proportion of crops planted in food crops and non-food crops is negative. The whole paper is divided into six parts. The arrangement of each part is as follows:The first part is the introduction.Based on the analysis of the research background and literature review, this paper introduces the main research contents, methods, innovations and shortcomings. The second part is the concept definition and theoretical basis. This part mainly explains the rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost, summarizing the theoretical basis of this paper. The third part is the research on the influence mechanism of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure. The influence of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure was analyzed. The fourth part is the study of rural labor cost, farmland transfer cost and the trend of agricultural planting structure. This section uses statistical data to observe the relationship among the three. The fifth part is the empirical study on the impact of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on agricultural planting structure. This part further analyzes the significant impact of rural labor cost and farmland transfer cost on the agricultural planting structure and the difference of internal main crops. The sixth part is conclusion and suggestion. This paper summarizes the results of the empirical part and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.
