Level Of Education And Peasant-workers' Entrepreneurial Intentions Back At Hometown

Since the reform and opening-up,hundreds of millions of farmers in our country have came to cities from the countryside to work,in business,employment or start their own businesses.They are known as "peasant-workers",and in the development of society on the building of scattering the toil and sweat.With the acceleration of China's modernization,however,their survival in the city is increasingly threatened,unemployment and poverty are becoming more prominent,and the city's pulling force is gradually evolving toward a thrust.But fortunately,along with the attention of the national government to the countryside,a series of policies and strategies to support and revitalize the countryside have been introduced,and the thrust of the countryside has gradually shifted to a pull.A large number of peasant-workers who have acquired a skill and accumulated a certain amount of capital have begun to return to their hometowns to start businesses.Entrepreneurial intention as entrepreneurial behavior of internal performance influenced by the government,the attention of scholars both at home and abroad.Using the data from the national survey " Rural Employment/Entrepreneur Survey" organized by the National Social Science Fund's major bidding project " Research on the Management of Urban Floating Population Services " from January to February 2012.This paper discusses how is the peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at hometown? How is the impact of level of education on peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at hometown? and how is the impact mechanism of level of education on peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at hometown? In other words,it is the mediating role of trust between level of education and peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at hometown.Firstly,the study found that education level has a significant positive impact on peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at hometown,namely the more educated the peasant-workers are,the more inclined they are to back at hometown and start entrepreneurial intentions.Secondly,the research has also found that education level prominentlyaffects the trust level of peasant-workers.Specifically,the higher the education standards,the higher the general trust of peasant-workers generally.Thirdly,trust can markedly influence on peasant-workers' entrepreneurial Intentions back at hometown.Specifically,the higher the general trust and the government trust,the more peasant-workers' tend to back at hometown to start their own businesses.The higher the trust level of acquaintances,the less inclined peasant-workers are to return hometown and start their own businesses.Fourthly,the prediction of education level on peasant-workers' entrepreneurial intentions back at home is through trust,that is,general trust plays an obvious intermediary role in it.Based on the research findings,the author puts forward the following policy suggestions: Firstly,attach importance to formal education while taking into account vocational education.More specifically,first of all attach importance to national formal education,especially to continue to increase the popularization of compulsory education;And in the second place,while attaching importance to formal education,we must also pay attention to technical and vocational education.Secondly,strengthen the construction of interpersonal trust environment.In the first place,attach importance to the trust building of acquaintances;Posteriorly put a high value on general trust building.Thirdly,reinforcing government trust building.Above all,we must build the credibility of the government and build a trust-based government ruled by law.Following,it is imperative to perfect the entrepreneurship policy for peasant-workers.After that,the author made a summary of this research,pointed out some deficiencies caused by the limited level of personal ability,and proposed the direction of future research efforts.
