The fast-changing technological progress and the ever-changing market environment pose severe challenges to enterprises.Innovation is the key to improving core competitiveness and maintaining a competitive advantage.Employees are the main body of enterprise innovation,and employee innovation behavior is an important source of enterprise innovation performance and an important guarantee for enterprise innovation ability.Stimulating and enhancing employees' innovative behavior is an effective way to solve problems such as insufficient innovation vitality and weak core competitiveness of enterprises.Academia has extensively discussed the impact of individual and environmental factors on employee innovation behavior,but few scholars have paid attention to the impact of leadership humor on employee innovation behavior.Social cognition theory believes that the organizational environment will have an impact on the psychological state of employees and thus affect employee behavior.Leadership is an important part of the organizational environment and a key source of information and resources for employees.Leader humor,as a kind of leadership behavior,may have an impact on employee innovation behavior.At the same time,the humorous receiver's understanding of humor is subjective,and the impact of leader humor on the receiver(subordinate)may vary from person to person.However,few existing literatures can clarify the influence mechanism of leader humor on employees' innovative behavior and whether the role of leader humor is affected by individual characteristics.This study takes employees in the organization as research objects,and based on social cognitive theory and organizational humor model,leader humor(leader affiliative humor and leader aggressive humor),psychological safety,personal need for structure,and employees' innovative behavior are brought into the same relationship.Using SPSS22.0 and AMOS21.0 data analysis software to perform regression analysis on 342 valid questionnaires to test the impact of leader humor(leader affiliative humor and leader aggressive humor)on employees' innovative behavior,the mediating effect of psychological security and the moderating effect of need for structure.The research results show that:(1)Leader affiliative humor has a significant positive impact on employee innovation behavior,and leader aggressive humor has a significant negative effect on employee innovation behavior;(2)Leader affiliative humor significantly positively affects employees' psychological safety,and leader aggressive humor significantly negatively affects employees' psychological safety;(3)Employees' psychological safety has a significant positive impact on employees' innovative behavior;(4)The psychological safety of employees plays a part of the mediating role between the leader affiliative humor and the employees' innovative behavior,and it completely plays a role of mediating between the leader aggressive humor and the employee's innovative behavior;(5)Employees' need for structure negatively moderate the relationship between leader affiliative humor and employees' psychological safety,leader aggressive humor and employees' psychological safety.
