Research On The Willingness And Influencing Factors Of The Mutual Support For Low-aged Left-behind Elderly In The Rural Areas

With the development of economy and the improvement of medical treatment,the elderly population in China is increasing rapidly.The ageing issue presents both opportunities and challenges to develop the strengths and values of older persons,to promote their re-employment,to reduce the burden of social care for the aged and to transform their values and experiences into social productive forces;The challenge is that the old-age support in rural areas is out of balance with that in urban areas,the number of the old-age left behind in rural areas is increasing on a large scale,the function of the old-age support in the family is weakening gradually,and the single and traditional family-style old-age support mode can not meet the old-age support needs of the old-age left behind.In this context,the rural mutual support model for the elderly because of its advantages of community and mutual assistance,gradually accepted by the majority of Rural left-behind elderly.In this paper,we found that the majority of the rural low-aged are the rural low-aged and their desire for reemployment is strong,so we link the willingness of the rural low-aged to participate in mutual support for the aged with the desire for re-employment,taking "low age to promote the re-employment of the aged" as the starting point,the study is aimed at the aged group over 60 years old,and a descriptive statistical analysis is made on the leftbehind elderly in some rural areas of China,the binary Logistic regression analysis was used to find that age,health condition,income level and income source were related to the willingness of rural young left-behind elderly to participate in mutual support However,gender,educational background,marital status,living style and social status had no effect on the willingness of Rural low-aged left-behind elderly to participate in mutual support.Finally,according to the regression results and the influencing factors,this paper puts forward some suggestions to enhance the participation of the rural low-aged left-behind elderly in mutual support: to enhance the recognition of the rural low-aged left-behind elderly in mutual support of the elderly,we will establish and improve the system of policies,supervision and funds for mutual support for the aged,improve the functions of mutual support institutions for the aged,and increase their social influence.
