After more than 40 years of rapid growth, the Chinese economy has entered the middle upper income development stage. The per capita national income is close to 10,000 US dollars, and the people's income and living standards have improved significantly.Along with this major progress, the imbalance in the development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in China or parts of the region is highlighted, the industrial structure is unbalanced, between the industry, between urban and rural areas and between the residents of each of our citizens. The income gap is rapidly expanding, which has seriously affected the sustainable development of the economy and the long-term stability of society.According to the National Bureau of Statistics and the international authoritative report, the Gini coefficient reflecting the income gap in China has exceeded the international warning line of 0.4 at the end of the last century. In 2010,it has expanded to about 0.48,and has been at a high level of around 0.48.The excessive income gap is an important obstacle for China to fully complete the poverty alleviation project and cross the “middle income trap”.In particular, the traditional idea of “not suffering from inequality” is deeply rooted in the Chinese people and will breed a series of social contradictions and seriously affect The construction of a harmonious society and the sustained development of the economy urgently require research and resolution. The change of industrial structure is an important indicator reflecting a country's economic growth and social development, and an important factor influencing the formation of income gap.In 1998,China officially entered the ranks of middle-income countries.Today,20 years later, although China's per capita national income has greatly improved,it still does not cross the middle income stage. In addition, the world economic climate has fallen, the income gap has fluctuated at a high level, and China's industrial structure The requirements for transformation and upgrading are increasingly urgent.Since the beginning of the new millennium,China's economy has still relied on investment, exports and real estate. The slow growth of consumption and tertiary industry has become an obstacle to sustained economic development.Industrial restructuring is an important part of transforming economic growth mode and optimizing economic structure. It is directly related to changes in income gap and sustainable economic development. In the report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,"two synchronizations" and "two improvements" were clearly put forward, which will narrow the income gap and promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure as the focus of current work. Therefore, the trajectory of changes in industrial structure and income gap will be discussed in depth. And the internal mechanism of the two has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the sustained, healthy and stable growth of the current economy and smoothly crossing the "middle income trap".This paper is based on this discussion to explore the profound impact of industrial structure changes on the income gap,and propose relevant countermeasures.Firstly, the paper sorts out the research status of experts and scholars on the changes of industrial structure and income gap,and deeply analyzes the historical trajectory of industrial structure change and income gap change since China's reform and opening up,and theoretically explores the mutual influence and internal mechanism of the two. This paper summarizes the current research deficiencies and refines the research theme of this thesis. It is different from the influence of previous scholars on the industrial structure on the income gap between urban and rural areas and industries. They use the time series model reflecting the time span and the panel model reflecting the regional differences. The industrial structure rationalization index and the advanced index will deeply explore the impact mechanism, positive and negative effects and degree of industrial structure changes on the income gap of residents. This paper uses the national, local statistical bureaus issued by the national, four major regions(East,Middle,West,Northeast)and 31 provinces over the years GDP,employment,Gini coefficient and the three major industrial output value of the proportion of GDP and calculated Based on the relevant data of the Tyre index, the two indicators of rationalization and high-level industrial structure are selected. From the two dimensions of time span and regional difference, the direct impact of industrial structure change on residents' income gap is empirically studied by using VAR model.Firstly, the thesis sorts out relevant literature, describes the trajectory and relationship of industrial structure and income gap,and analyzes the impact mechanism of industrial structure change on residents' income gap.Secondly, using VAR model, through the impulse response analysis, explores China's thirty Over the years, the industrial structure has been rationalized and advanced, and the positive and negative effects and degree of industrial structure have been affected.Thirdly, using the panel model, through the introduction of dummy variables, the industrial structure changes in the four major regions of China have been studied. The difference in impact. On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research,it puts forward a series of steps to accelerate the rationalization of industrial structure, effectively control the industrial structure, focus on economic development, and narrow regional income gaps to promote sustained and healthy economic development.Combined countermeasures are recommended.
