Abstract/Summary:
Drawing on the AOTA's Role Competencies of a Fieldwork Educator, this study surveyed OT students regarding the importance to students and the frequency with which their fieldwork educators displayed the competencies. Twenty-nine students completed the survey about their most recent level II fieldwork placement. Overall, mean scores were higher than mean scores for frequency of perceived performance. Multiple role competency statements showed significant correlations between importance and frequency of performance; however additional research is necessary to generalize the results.
