| This thesis was developed to discuss the impact of solid modeling on Agile Manufacturing. This thesis contains information on incorporating a solid modeler into the Agile Manufacturing process. It discusses solid modeling, from initial design to creation of the final part. This thesis has three focal points: solid modeler post processing, communication with a numerical control (NC) system, and modification of a post processed NC file through use of a C program. To a lesser extent this thesis also discusses the use of STRUDL and the NC system. |
