Analysis of ICT educational resources specializing in biology and geology in secondary education

Abstract/Summary:
Through the results of an interview with an expert in ICT education and a questionnaire for the faculty of science showed a low percentage in the use of these educational resources despite the positive assessment involving improvements in education, indicating the need to support both its use and its implementation in the classroom. For this reason we performed a comparative analysis of different programs for creating concept maps and educational platforms licensed FSF (free and freely distributable) in order to make this new technology, to communicate the characteristics of each educational resource synthetically and through practical examples. In conclusion we can say that the program CmapTools is recommended both for its ease of use, applicability, depth, and also by their ability to share and track personalized how the student is able to design their own mechanisms knowledge and use as an evaluation tool. In the case of virtual platforms the most widespread among teachers is the moodle, although one might note the similarity with the other 2D platform. Instead 3D platforms have significant improvements in many aspects over their predecessors as concluded in the comparative analysis, we encourage all teachers to use in their teaching.
