GIS-based Study On Location Selection Of Off-street Parking Facilities In Old Urban Areas

In recent years,the number of private cars owned by residents has experienced a spurt of growth,and the demand for parking has increased day by day.The serious historical debts of infrastructure and the weak supply of existing transportation resources have made the problem of "difficult parking" more prominent than "difficult driving" in the old city.Researching and solving the parking problem has become a top priority.Off-street parking facilities are an important part of parking facilities,and their scientific selection of location and reasonable configuration of parking space are the core links of parking facilities planning.The traditional site selection process of parking facilities is computationally intensive,time-consuming,of poor visibility and not very implementable,which gradually exposes many deficiencies.Geographical information system,with its powerful capabilities of data management and spatial analysis capabilities of geographic information,has played a strong functional and superior role in the field of the site selection of off-street parking facilities.Therefore,this article uses GIS technology to guide the site selection of off-street parking facilities.The thesis summarizes and sorts out the research results of predecessors in the field of planning site selection based on GIS technology firstly,and analyzes the feasibility and steps of the site selection method;Secondly,the paper sorts out and compares the methods of off-street parking demand forecasting,and uses the combination methods of demand-oriented and population-forecasting to predict the berth demand of off-street parking facilities in the planned target year in the region;After that,the GIS analysis model is introduced to construct the "primary selection—correction—re-verification" planning steps of the optimal site selection of off-street parking facilities.Through the spatial analysis based on GIS technology,the restriction of constraints,and the network analysis of GIS technology,accurately optimize the location of suitability site selection,and analyze and evaluate the results of the site selection of parking facilities;Finally,take the off-street parking facilities of social buses in the old city of Gongyi City as the research object,explore the location and scale of the off-street parking facilities,and verify the feasibility and rationality of the location method.The location of off-street parking facilities is based on the step of "the primary selection of the suitability of off-street parking facilities based on GIS spatial analysis—the correction of parking facilities under constraint conditions—the reverification of the matching degree of parking facility layout points under the guidance of location model" to explore the optimal site selection scheme of off-road parking facilities layout points,to explore the optimal selection plan of location for off-street parking facilities,which is a further optimization of the location selection method,and is applied to the research on the location selection of off-street parking facilities in old urban areas in hilly areas.In the later stage,the social site selection plan for off-street parking will continue to be revised and optimized according to the development status of parking facilities in the old city.
