Abstract/Summary:
Technical efficiency(TE) is an important indicator to measure the economic performance of an industry.The construction industry TE analysis is not only related to the sustainable development of the company,but also related to the improvement of the competitiveness of the entire construction industry.The research on construction industry TE and its influencing factors is helpful to discover the differences of construction industry TE levels in various regions of our country.By searching for the causes of these gaps and analyzing them,we can put forward corresponding measures and suggestions to further promote the sustainable development of the construction industry.Based on this,this paper uses the stochastic frontier analysis method and the transcending logarithmic production function to study the TE level and its changing trend of the construction industry,and at the same time empirically analyzes the influencing factors of TE.The research results show that in terms of TE level,the development of China’s construction industry has the following characteristics: First,from 2011 to 2018,the overall TE of the construction industry in the country has shown an upward trend,and the increase in construction industry capital investment will affect its total output value.Growth has a stimulating effect,but the increase in labor input has an adverse effect on the growth of total output value.Second,there is an obvious regional imbalance in TE in China’s construction industry.Coastal areas are significantly higher than non-coastal areas;the eastern region is higher than the construction industry TE levels in the central and western regions;East China and Central South are significantly higher than Southwest,North China,Northeast and Northwest China.Regions,it is worth noting that from 2014 to 2015,the downward trend in North China was the most obvious.After 2015,it has been lagging behind several other regions.The third is based on the analysis of the cluster analysis results.During the eight years from 2011 to 2018,the province with the highest average TE is Beijing,and the province with the highest average TE is also above 0.9,both of which are eastern regions.The provinces with the lowest average TE level are Shandong,Guizhou,Yunnan,Qinghai,Tibet,Inner Mongolia,and Ningxia Autonomous Region.Among them,the eastern region accounts for 1 and the remaining 6 are all western regions.After analyzing the influencing factors of construction industry TE,it is found that the agglomeration effect,industrial development degree,marketization degree,and auxiliary industry development all have a positive effect on the improvement of TE,while the marketization level and capital allocation of the construction industry have a positive effect on the construction industry TE.Raising has a negative effect.Finally,based on the empirical analysis of this article,relevant suggestions for promoting the development of the construction industry are put forward: on the basis of the law of supply and demand in the construction market,labor,capital and technology input should be scientifically coordinated,and the enterprise entry and exit management mechanism should be standardized to improve the development of the construction industry in various regions Promote the continuous development of the national construction industry.
