Research On The Application Of BIM Technology In Cost Control Of Construction Projects

With the rapid development of society,the volume,design and function requirements of construction projects have been continuously improved,and the corresponding project investment and costs have also increased significantly.The cost control management of construction projects is no longer limited to the design phase and the construction phase,and the importance of finding efficient cost control methods has become increasingly prominent.At the same time,the responsible parties of all construction parties pay more attention to the control of their own costs during project implementation.It is imperative to carry out cost control at all stages of the entire life cycle of a construction project to achieve the goal of maximizing the profits of all parties responsible for the construction.The emergence and application of BIM technology provides new ideas and methods for realizing the dynamic cost control of all parties responsible for construction in the whole life cycle of construction projects.In view of the above background and current main problems,the application research of BIM technology in the cost control of construction projects has been carried out in this paper,mainly for all parties responsible for construction projects,especially supervision units and suppliers,and the whole life cycle of construction projects.How to apply BIM technology in the decision-making phase and the operation and maintenance phase was researched and analyzed.The specific research content and results are as follows:(1)The concept,content and management method of life cycle cost control of construction projects are described.The current research and application status of cost control based on BIM technology are analyzed,and some problems existing in cost control are summarized.(2)The meaning and characteristics of BIM and the advantages of BIM technology compared to CAD technology are explained,mainly focused on the cost control mode of building,design,construction,supervision and supply units based on BIM technology in the main responsible bodies of construction projects.Finally,the main softwares related to BIM are analyzed.(3)On the basis of summarizing the traditional construction project cost control process criteria,the construction project cost control process framework based on BIM technology is studied and formulated.The specific technology application of BIM based cost control in the whole life cycle decision-making stage,implementation stage and use stage of construction project is analyzed.(4)Finally,the actual engineering application and effect analysis are carried out.The results show that the application of BIM technology by the responsible parties of the construction parties can effectively reduce costs,improve work efficiency and shorten the construction period,and has outstanding effects on cost control at all stages of the life cycle of a construction project.The application of the above BIM technology in the cost control of construction projects plays an important role in improving the cost control level of the whole life cycle of construction projects,and provides new theoretical methods for the responsible parties of construction to save their own project costs,which can promote construction industry has provided a useful reference for collaborative and intelligent development from extensive.
