The energy consumption of residential blocks in small towns is not only related to the single building, but also closely related to the group form.Building energy consumption accounts for a large proportion of the total urban energy consumption.Residential buildings are the largest number of buildings in cities and towns. Therefore, reducing the energy consumption of residential buildings can effectively reduce the total energy consumption of cities and towns. In order to explore the influence of the spatial form of small town residential block on the energy consumption of block building in hot summer and cold winter area, this paper takes the small town in Zhejiang Province as an example, analyzes the spatial form characteristics of small town residential block in Zhejiang Province from four aspects of sample type, scale, planning form and residential building type, and extracts the spatial form types of typical residential block Through the simulation of energy consumption, this paper analyzes the relationship between the spatial form of residential block and building energy consumption, and puts forward the planning strategy.Based on the domestic and foreign research on building energy consumption and residential block space form, this paper combs the related concepts of hot summer and cold winter area and the related theory of residential block space form and building energy consumption.Based on the analysis, extraction and derivation of the spatial patterns of residential blocks in the central urban areas of Changxing County,Chun’an County,Tiantai county and Wencheng County of Zhejiang Province, five "basic forms" and 17 "derived forms" are generated.Using openstudio software to simulate the energy consumption of typical residential blocks in 22 small towns in hot summer and cold winter areas, and summarize the influence of density elements, texture form elements and building type elements on building energy consumption. The results show that the energy consumption intensity of multi-storey slab is the lowest, and that of low-rise single family is the highest;the mixed residential block is the most suitable layout mode for small towns.Under the same plot ratio, the energy consumption intensity of block group can be reduced by mixing the two types of residential buildings and placing the higher storey residential buildings on the north side of the lower floor residential buildings; It is also more conducive to the energy saving of residential blocks to adopt the positive South and North determinant layout. The change of the spatial form elements of residential blocks has a significant impact on the cooling energy consumption, heating energy consumption and total energy consumption.Among them, the gable spacing is the most relevant spatial form factor, followed by the floor area ratio. Finally, based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the energy-saving optimization strategy of small town residential block in hot summer and cold winter area and the energy-saving control strategy of small town residential block space form elements in Zhejiang Province. As the carrier of the residents’ life, the planners should consider the practical scheme from the block scale under the premise of meeting the norms, combining with the regional characteristics of small towns,so as to reduce the energy consumption of residential areas.
