| In recent years, with the continuous improvement of relevant laws and regulations and the formation of consensus of the whole society, our country has achieved great success in the conservation of historical heritage, with a three-level system of "historical cities-towns and villages(blocks)-cultural relics preservation units".However, although studies on historical streets,an important component of historical towns, have been relatively mature in conservation renovation and morphology, the evaluation of conservation implementation remains insufficient. At present, assessments of the conservation implementation of historical streets are mainly conducted before and during the process. As a result, research into evaluation of the effects is limited. On the one hand, neglecting the evaluation of the results after the implementation of the conservation in the conservation work can result in unsuccessful test of the implementation effects;on the other hand, due to the lack of timely response to the problems in the previous stage of implementation, the entire conservation process will become incomplete. In this context, this article believes that it is necessary to make a comprehensive review and adaptability evaluation of the effect of the conservation of historic streets.Firstly, the article defines the relevant concepts and reviews domestic and foreign research summary on the evaluation of the implementation of historical streets, urban planning and the evaluation of the implementation of historical heritage conservation, using them as the research basis of the thesis.Secondly, the paper conducts an in-depth analysis of historical streets and excavates potential value and characteristic elements of them from three perspectives of spatial form characteristics, environmental landscape elements and humanistic connotations, providing a basis for the following evaluation work.On the basis of the above research,28 evaluation index factors were further screened out,and the historical streets conservation effects evaluation system in historical towns were established from the three dimensions of "historical space elements","environmental landscape elements" and "social life and cultural connotations".Then analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weight of index factors in each level and the evaluation criteria of each factor is explained in detail. Finally, using Zhenze Town in Suzhou City as an example, the evaluation and analysis of the implementation effects are conducted separately in commercial and living historical streets. This paper then summarizes existing, problems in the process of the conservation of historical streets based on the evaluation results and at the same time, proposes optimized countermeasures for subsequent planning and implementation.Evaluation of the conservation implementation effect of historic streets in historical towns can help us predict the conservation effects in the future, through the analysis of which, main problems involving historic streets’ conservation and development are discovered and suggestions are made,so as to improve conservation planning and implementation in the future. |
