The Dazhidulun with a total of 100 volumes is the interpretation of the Prajnaparamitd Hrdaya,lt was written by Nagarjuna,translated by Kumarajlva.The number of pieces written in the Dazhidulun unearthed from the Sutra-Library Cave of Dunhuang is five hundred and nine.This paper will be discussed in three ways.Chapter one introduces Kumarajlva’s life and the characteristics of his translated text,briefly describes different translated texe of the Dazhidujing and summarizes the basic contents,collection,research value and research results of Dunhuang manuscripts on the Dazhidulun.Chapter two combines the predecessors’writings on Dunhuang manuscripts about the classification of folk characters,divided Dunhuang manuscripts on the Dazhidulun into seven types,at the same time,discussed some folk characters we can’t recongnized.Chapter three is a study of calligraphy centered on the existing materials.Classify these pieces into three parts,Likai,Kaishu,Xingshu and get aesthetic features of them.The purpose is to understand the aesthetic attitude of the Dunhuang area far from the political center.Scholars of the Qing Dynasty added their evaluation on Dunhuang manuscripts on the Dazhidulun,inspired from the way they appreciate the art of calligraphy will be conducive to envisage the value of Dunhuang manuscripts.
