A Multi-angle Study Of Frank Discourse Marks "Bu Man Ni Shuo"

Discourse markers have been a hot topic in academic circles in recent years."Bu Man Ni Shuo " is a frequently used discourse marker in daily conversation.Its main function is to express the true attitude of the speaker or to highlight the way the speaker speaks frankly.The academic research on this topic is not comprehensive enough.This article takes it as the research object,and takes cognitive linguistics,functionalist linguistics,and discourse linguistics as the theoretical basis.Based on large corpora and daily conversations,"Bu Man Ni Shuo " is discussed by combining facts with theory,description with explanation,and qualitative and quantitative methods from the perspective of the form of expression,semantic features,textual functions,etc.In addition to the introduction and conclusions,this article mainly includes the following four parts:The first part,based on the consensus and definition of the discourse markers in academia,explains the features of discourse markers of "Bu Man Ni Shuo " from the perspectives of speech recognition,flexible syntax,procedural semantics,rich pragmatic functions,and diverse morphological forms.In the second part,the "Bu Man Ni Shuo " and its predecessors A and B are regarded as an independent and complete discourse.Based on the theory of discourse linguistics and interactive linguistics,the entire discourse has the semantic characteristics of frankness,magnitude and appraisal,etc.And textual related items have repetition,conformance,conflict,causality,and progression semantic relations.The means include copying,substitution,generalization and interpretation,etc.The third part,based on the subjective(intersubjective)theory,the modal meaning of the discourse marker "Bu Man Ni Shuo " is subjective,because of the constituent components of the invisible speaker’s subject "I",the speaking verb "speak",and the adverbial "don’t hide from you" subjective characteristics,expressed in the perspective of showing the speaker’s candid attitude,implementing the speaker’s extra-verbal behavior and expressing the speaker’s true emotions,etc;due to the composition of "you",the perspective of the listener has intersubjective characteristics,such as increasing trust,weakening the "face" threat,showing the role status and drawing the attention of the listener,etc.The fourth part,based on functionalist linguistics and conversational theory,discusses the discourse function of discourse marker " Bu Man Ni Shuo " from a micro perspective,and considers that it has important functions such as discourse coherence,starting,ending and realizing the function of turn,starting,transforming and emphasizing topics,and expressing and eliciting positions,etc.
