| The rapid development of global urbanization places a greater demand on building comfort and the problem of building energy consumption is becoming increasingly serious.Green and smart buildings is a concept generated by the development of urbanization,and the application of advanced technology can achieve sustainable development.Green and Smart Buildings:Advanced Technology Options focuses on the building itself and how building technology can help enhance its overall sustainability performance.The book is a scientific text,which is featured by preciseness,objectivity and accuracy.It is hoped that the translation of the source text can provide a reference for China’s building sector and have certain enlightening significance for China’s green and smart buildings.This report studies the E-C translation of the scientific report of the Green and Smart Buildings:Advanced Technology Options(Chap.1-3)based on Skopos Theory.The translation report is divided into four chapters.Chapter one is task description in which the introduction to the source text,the characteristics and significance of the source text are introduced.Chapter two is process description,including the preparation of the translation,the translation process and the improvement of the translation.Chapter three is case analysis which plays crucial role in this report,employing some translation methods to analyze the source text and target text at lexical,syntactic and discourse levels under the guidance of Skopos Theory.Chapter four is the conclusion of this translation practice,which mainly discusses the experience and other gains.It is hoped that the translator could explore the translation of scientific text through this translation practice.In line with textual characteristics of scientific text,the translator employs some translation methods and has more in-depth understanding of the differences between Chinese and English and the translation of scientific and technology text. |
