An Interpretation Report On "Cities As Hubs Of Innovation" Forum

With the rapid development of global economy,the models of economic development have changed.Therefore,economic leaders from diverse countries gather in Davos to explore new models and methods to innovatively develop the world economy.This interpretation report uses the conference "City as the Hubs of Innovation" broadcast live at Davos Forum in 2017 as the source language of simulated simultaneous interpretation,which aims to analyze the problems during the interpretation of this forum and then puts forward practical methods and skills to deal with the problems based on the Interpretive Theory.This report consists of four chapters.Chapter One is the description of the task,which mainly describes the source of the materials,the features and the significances of the task.Chapter Two is the description of the interpretation process,which mainly introduces the pre-interpretation preparations,the interpretation process and the quality control.Among them,the source and three components of the Interpretive Theory are introduced emphatically.Chapter Three is case analysis,which is the core part of this report.It mainly expounds interpretation practice and case analysis under the guidance of Interpretive Theory.The material in this report comes from real cases,it summarizes the methods of syntactic linearity,addition and omission,anticipation and information synthesis from different levels and explores the relationship between interpretation theory and translation practice.Chapter Four is the conclusion,which summarizes the guidance and practical application of the Interpretive Theory in the Forum Interpretation from three perspectives of theory,syntax and discourse.
