The source text of this translation report is from Wang Jian’s book,Director-style Teaching.Combined with many years of teaching experience and film interests,he finished this book,which integrates class and film.The translator extracts two key chapters from the book: “Director-style Teaching” and “Actor-style Learning” as the source text of translation.The two sections mainly describe the teacher and students,as the main elements of classroom construction,promote the classroom through “directing”and “acting” just like “director” and “actors”.Under the guidance of Eco-Translatology,the translator plays a “center” role to analyze the features of the source language,and choose different translation strategies,methods and skills,and transform from the three dimensions of language,communication and culture,so as to ensure that English readers are in a balanced ecological environment.On the linguistic dimension,the translator uses free translation,literal translation and compilation to change part of speech,change sentence structure and refine text titles.On the communicative dimension,the translator uses literal translation,free translation,annotation and addition to accurately choose the meaning of words,explain proper nouns and add conjunctions.On the cultural dimension,translators should pay attention to the actual meanings of four-character cases and characteristic words in the context of the original text,respect the cultural differences between the two languages,and adopt the translation strategy of domestication for text transplantation.The main contents and thoughts of the report are as follows: firstly,the report analyzes the emergence of “director-style teaching”,then determines the topic.Secondly,it introduces the whole process of the translation to ensure the smooth completion of the report.Thirdly,the development and application of EcoTranslatology are explained to determine the applicability of the theory.Fourthly,under the guidance of Eco-Translatology,this paper analyzes some cases from three dimensions to explore the process and methods of source text translation.Finally,the paper summarizes some points involved in the translation.Through this translation practice,the translator has drawn the following conclusions:(1)From the perspective of Eco-Translatology,there are few studies on the translation of educational texts,and this translation practice a kind of complementarity.(2)According to the language characteristics of source text,the research on the cultural dimension of educational texts mostly focuses on the lexical level.(3)There are multiple dimensional transformations of the same translation object,and the classification is distinguished according to the different emphasis on “people” and texts.
