Research On Michael J·Quinn Internet Ethics

Michael J.Quinn is one of the most symbolic scholars in contemporary Internet ethics research.His Internet ethics thoughts analyze prominent ethical problems in the Internet field,analyze the ethical values contained in daily online behaviors,and provide a new perspective for the development of Internet ethics.Michael J.Quinn studied the real problems in the Internet society from different moral perspectives,evaluated and analyzed the different situations in the society caused by the introduction of Internet technology,and based on this,formed his own Internet ethical thoughts.An in-depth study of Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethics is not only helpful to grasp the development frontier of contemporary Internet ethics,but also to expand the research perspective and analytical framework of Internet ethics,providing reference for the development of Internet ethics in China.In this paper,the main contents of Michael J·Quine’s Internet ethics are studied by literature research and comparative analysis.The main contents include the following five aspects.First,the moral consideration of Internet technology itself.Second,the moral boundary of the freedom of Internet communication.Third,the ethical relationship between the protection and opening of Internet intellectual property.Fourth,the right of Internet privacy and its protection.Finally,the ethical governance of the digital divide.It also analyzes the value of Quine’s Internet ethics,and strives to enrich the research of Michael J·Quine’s Internet Ethics and provides reference for the construction of Internet Ethics in China.The paper is divided into the following four parts:The first chapter introduces the background of the topic,the significance of the research and the related research status,and describes the research methods,research ideas and main innovation points.The second chapter combs the social background and theoretical source of Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethical thoughts.The social background mainly includes two aspects: The rise and development of Internet ethics research,the conflict of regional moral culture.Quinn’s research object is the ethical issues in the Internet society,and understanding the relevant social background is very important to correctly grasp his Internet ethical thoughts.Quine has absorbed Aristotle’s ethics of virtue,Bentham’s principle of utility,Kant’s idea of universality of moral code and Rawls’ s principle of fairness.Quinn’s absorption of traditional ethics is an important theoretical source for his evaluation and analysis of ethical issues on the Internet.The third chapter studies the main content of Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethics.It mainly includes Quinn’s thinking on the moral considerations of Internet technology itself,the moral boundary of Internet communication freedom,the ethical relationship between Internet intellectual property protection and openness,Internet privacy and its protection,and the ethical governance of digital divide.By focusing on Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethical thoughts from an overall perspective,this paper comprehensively combs and summarizes the content of his thoughts in order to fully display Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethical thoughts.The fourth chapter analyzes Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethics thought and puts forward the enlightenment of his thought on the construction of Internet ethics in China.Firstly,this paper analyzes the rationality and limitations of Michael J.Quinn’s Internet ethical thoughts,and then analyzes the reference significance of his Internet ethical thoughts to the construction of Internet ethics in China.
