A Study On The Lexicalization Of Prepositional Double-syllable Adverbs Of Yiju(依据)

At present,there are relatively few researches on lexicalization of prepositional-object disyllabic adverbs.Based on the meaning of prepositional morphemes,this article selects 15prepositional-object disyllabic adverbs from Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th Edition)as the research objects,under the premise of ensuring the quantity and representativeness.This article studies prepositional-object adverbs of yiju(依据)from synchronic and diachronic aspects.The synchronic study is mainly on the whole of the prepositional-object double-syllable adverbs of yiju(依据),from the semantic and syntactic aspects.In terms of semantics,we mainly analyze the semantic features,semantic features and semantic orientation.In terms of syntax,we mainly analyze the syntactic distribution,syntactic function and collocation function.The prepositional-object adverbs of yiju(依据)are have lexical meaning,and can be used as other syntactic components besides adverbials,so they are not typical adverbs.Synchronic research can help us to have a holistic understanding of the prepositional-object disyllabic adverbs of yiju(依据),thus laying the foundation for the diachronic research.In the diachronic study,the prepositional-object type disyllabic adverbs of yiju(依据)are divided into four categories:an X(按X),yi X(依X),zhao X(照X),and congshi(从实),yici(以次).To investigate each categories,we first analyze the prepositional process of related prepositions and its generation time,and then examine the lexicalization process of each prepositional-object disyllabic adverb of yiju(依据)one by one.Comprehensive several ancient Chinese corpus,to determine its source and the earliest time.Statistics its use cases in each historical stage,judge its nature in each historical stage according to semantic and syntactic functions,and analyze the specific reasons for lexicalization.Then compare the prepositionalobject disyllabic adverbs with similar meaning,and analyze the reasons.Finally,summarizes the characteristics and motivation of lexicalization of prepositional-object disyllabic adverbs of yiju(依据),and gives a theoretical explanation of lexicalization mechanism.The lexicalization of prepositional-object disyllabic adverbs of yiju(依据)is characterized by low degree of grammaticalization of prepositional elements,non concreteness of object elements,various lexicalization paths and late formation of words.The main causes of lexicalization are prosodic needs and the trend of disyllabic,the syntactic position of adverbials,the abstraction and generalization of object semantics and high frequency of use.The main mechanisms of lexicalization are as follows Re analysis,analogy mechanism,psychological cognitive mechanism of chunking and pragmatic inference mechanism.
