With the continuous improvement of China’s international status,learning Chinese has set off an upsurge in the world.With this upsurge,the cause of international Chinese education is booming and becoming more and more perfect.How to improve the practicability of Chinese and carry out good cultural cooperation and exchange has gradually become the concern of many Chinese teachers.The thematic teaching method takes students as the center,selects the real corpus close to life as the teaching content according to the specific theme,and emphasizes the practicability of language.At the same time,the thematic teaching method pays attention to cultural teaching and combines language teaching with cultural teaching.Therefore,the thematic teaching method has attracted more and more attention of Chinese teachers and scholars.Under the guidance of this theory,this paper takes two Japanese adult students at the primary Chinese level as the teaching object,selects unit 4 of Volume 3 of Great Wall Chinese · survival communication for teaching design,and discusses the application of thematic teaching method in the comprehensive course of primary Chinese.The paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter introduces the background,research significance,research status,and research methods of the paper.The second chapter makes a systematic overview of the thematic teaching method,including the concept and characteristics,theoretical basis,teaching steps and theme classification of the thematic teaching method.The third chapter analyzes the advantages and feasibility of applying thematic teaching method to primary Chinese comprehensive course,and expounds the practical basis of teaching design.The fourth chapter expounds the teaching design scheme in combination with its own teaching practice.The fifth chapter evaluates the teaching design according to the collected teaching feedback,finds out the problems and deficiencies in teaching,and puts forward some teaching suggestions.The last part is the conclusion.
