| With the KMT’s constant defeat in the front battlefield and its decision to move its capital to Chongqing,the Anti-Japanese War entered a difficult struggle in the phase of strategic stalemate.In order to consolidate and maintain the anti-Japanese national united front,the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee with Zhou Enlai as its core was established in Chongqing on January 16,1939.The South Bureau of the CPC Central Committee,as the representative organ of the CPC Central Committee stationed in the Kuomintang’s ruling center(Chongqing),has the task not only of leading and directing the work of the Party organizations in the Kuomintang’s ruling areas,some occupied areas and the New Fourth Army,but also of holding high the banner of resistance and democracy in the complicated and dangerous struggle environment in the Kuomintang’s ruling areas,actively dealing with the Kuomintang,democratic parties,foreign friends and the masses,publicizing to them our Party’s stand and policy of unity against Japan,and winning the support and understanding of the domestic and international community to the maximum extent.Therefore,the liaison work with United Front,Propaganda,Diplomacy and Hidden Front Struggle as its main contents,like Party building,military work and cultural work,became an important part of all the work of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti-Japanese War.Through the study of the liaison work of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti-Japanese War,this paper sorts out the main contents,working strategies and characteristics of the liaison work of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during this period,and sums up the historical significance and practical enlightenment of its liaison work.The paper is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly expounds the research background and significance of the subject,introduces the definition and content of the liaison work of our party and our army in different periods,and outlines the expected innovations of this article.The second chapter starts with the background and historical evolution of the establishment of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti-Japanese War,discusses its strategic position,jurisdiction and division of work,and divides the stage of liaison work with major events as a node.The third chapter mainly introduces the five aspects of the liaison work of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee,including information,united front,propaganda,mass and secret traffic construction,and systematically sorts out the strategies adopted by it in carrying out the liaison work.The fourth chapter,on the basis of the previous chapters,summarizes the historical significance of the successful liaison work of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti-Japanese War,and puts forward some inspirations for the development ofliaison work in the new era of our country. |
