Abstract/Summary:
The relationship between Ghana and China has a long history. As early as 1950,China and Ghana established an educational cooperation mechanism. To achieve this goal,China has initiated initiatives such as the "China-Africa Cooperation Forum" and "South-South Cooperation" to strengthen international education cooperation in the past few decades. This research explores the process of China’s participation in the African continent, and specifically explores the reasons for the upward trend of foreign students coming to China to continue their studies and receive higher education in the past few years. From a historical perspective, this paper puts forward a variety of assumptions and draws a point of view that China has not competed with European countries and the United States to seek hegemony in Africa and the world. If there is competition,China seeks to help the third world keep pace with the rest of the world through educational cooperation, technical skills training and expertise. All of these assistances are mutually beneficial among participating countries, including the "China-Africa Cooperation Forum" and the "South-South Initiative."Starting from history, this research explores the historical exchanges between China and Africa. The development of bilateral relations to this day aims to strengthen the pragmatic and mutually beneficial relationship with the African continent and promote the economic growth and development of Ghana.
