Research On The Thought Of Urban-Rural Relationship In The Communist Manifesto

The evolution of urban-rural relationship is an important content in the process of modernization,the problem of urban-rural relationship is also an urgent problem to be solved in the all-round socialist modernization construction in China,how to promote the balanced development of urban and rural is the key point.In the Communist Manifesto(hereinafter referred to as the Manifesto),Marx and Engels taked the social division of labor as a clue,expounding the evolution mechanism and objective law of urban-rural relationship from the perspective of dialectical materialism and historical materialism,it is an important part of the development theory of Marxism.According to the Manifesto,the progress of productive forces,the development of social division of labor and the establishment of capitalist private ownership have led to urban-rural opposition,in which the progress of productive forces is the root cause;pointing out that from the urban-rural opposition to urban-rural integration is a historical process,the abundance of material wealth,the high degree of harmony in social relations,and the free and all-round development of human beings are the basic conditions for the urban-rural integration;and proposing the basic way to eliminate the urban-rural opposition and promote urban-rural integration is developing the productive forces with the combination of industry and agriculture,establishing of socialist public ownership and expunged old division of labor aiming at the free and all-round development of human beings.The thought of urban-rural relationship in the Manifesto provides theoretical guidance for solving the problems of unbalanced urban-rural development in the process of modernization,that is grasp the law of urban-rural development from the perspective of historical materialism,to dialectically understand the interactive development between urban and rural,and to take the free and all-round development of human beings as a goal.Meanwhile,it also provides a practical direction for the urban-rural integration development in China,including promoting the development of rural modernization,playing to the leading role of cities and industries,and following the value orientation of the people’s needs for a better life.
