Career cognition is the initial cognition of one’s own knowledge,value,preference and self-efficacy,and then the evaluation of self cognition through self-evaluation skills and decision-making skills to determine one’s career choice.Influenced by the external environment of society,organization and family,it is the basis of career consciousness growth and career identity.In recent years,“exam fever for national civil servants” “ exam fever for provincial civil servants” are hot topics in the society,but also most graduates are keen on the occupation.However,from the perspective of the working environment of civil servants,affected by factors such as the difficulty of promotion,low salary,heavy task and high responsibility pressure,the “iron rice bowl” of civil servants in the public’s eyes in the past is gradually losing its attraction,and the sense of professional honor,identity and happiness of civil servants will decline,which will affect the personal work efficiency and then the administrative efficiency of the government.Based on the survey of civil servants’ professional cognition in Yunfu City,Guangdong Province,this paper investigates the current situation of civil servants’ professional cognition through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with more than 290 civil servants from different functional departments in Yunfu City,and analyzes the existing problems from three aspects of civil servants’ personal environment,organizational environment and social external environment It should be targeted from the individual(correct and objective understanding of self,moderate adjustment of professional expectations,enhancement of professional responsibility consciousness,correction of professional values),organization(establishment and improvement of civil service assessment system,moderate increase of civil service salary,improvement of post promotion system,improvement of civil service recruitment methods and vocational training)and Society(the public should have a correct understanding of civil servants,the public should increase support for civil servants,and social media should actively publicize the advanced typical deeds of civil servants),and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the professional cognition of civil servants in Yunfu City,in order to provide suggestions or value reference for the construction of civil servants in Yunfu City and other places.
