Research On Social Work Intervention In The Social Integration Of The Disabled People

In recent years,the basic living conditions of disabled people in China have improved significantly.However,in the process of social development,the problem of social integration of disabled people is still the focus of society.Disabled people are disturbed by physical factors,cultural factors and psychological factors,they encounter various problems in the process of social integration,which have a certain impact on the social integration of disabled people.Creating opportunities for the disabled people to participate in social activities on an equal basis and enabling them to share the achievements of social civilization development,and helping the disabled people to improve their social integration,is not only the urgent requirement of the disabled people and their families but also the responsibility of the state and all society members.This research adopts the literature research method,interview method and participatory observation,taking the limb disabled people in X district of X city as an example,under the guidance of social support theory and empowerment theory,this research studies and analyzes the current situation,problems and influencing factors of the social integration of the limb disabled people in X district of X city,and carries out social work group activities.Finally,through the evaluation and reflection of group activities,this research puts forward some countermeasures to promote the social integration of limb disabled people.This research finds that the limb disabled people in X district are effects by negatives emotions,social stereotypes and social support lacking,they have prominent psychological problems,difficulties in interpersonal communication and low employment enthusiasm.These problems have a certain impact on the integration of the limb disabled people.The social work group activities to further intervene in the above problems,helping the limb disabled people solve the personal skills problems,psychological problems and relationship problems,improve the group members’ self-confidence and interpersonal skills,set up positive self recognition and learn to control emotions,eventually improve the degree of social integration of group members.To sum up,this research concludes that social work group intervention activities have certain effectiveness in promoting the social integration of disabled people.
