Research On Group Work Support For Self-Help Social Integration Of Disabled People

Persons with disabilities account for a large proportion of the country's population,and the population continues to be maintained at a balanced level.Problems such as the survival and development of the disabled and the quality of life are not only personal and family problems,but also social problems.Improving the lives of disabled people and developing the cause of disabled people is not only the responsibility of the family,but also the responsibility of the government,and even more so the responsibility of society.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,especially in the new era,Party and state leaders and relevant government departments have attached great importance to the development of disabled people and the cause of disabled people.Article 7 of the Chinese Law on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities also stipulates that "the whole society should carry forward the spirit of humanitarianism,understand,respect,care for and help disabled people,and support the cause of disabled people.The State encourages social organizations and individuals to provide assistance and services to disabled persons." As a social worker and social worker who upholds the concept of "helping people help themselves" and wholeheartedly serves disadvantaged groups,it is incumbent on them to pay attention to,care for,and help disabled people,especially to support their integration into society,self-reliance,and feeding society.Based on the social integration practice project of the "People's Partnership Program" of the self-help organization of City B,this paper uses the interview method,the literature method,and the observation method to collect relevant data to analyze the current situation of social integration of people with disabilities in the self-help organization of City B and the "People's Partnership Program".The "People with Partners" project of the city's self-help organization B has the needs of employment knowledge,interpersonal relations,and emotional support.Based on the needs of persons with disabilities in self-help organizations and guided by the expertise of the working methods of groups working in social work,five group activities were carried out,and the specific implementation process of the social integration activities carried out was analyzed and summarized.The team members learned the skills needed in the social integration process,expanded their interpersonal circle,received social support,and effectively promoted the social integration of the team members through empowerment.After the event,the social workers summarized and reflected on the work practice of the group.In general,the study used group working methods to support the social inclusion of persons with disabilities,so that persons with disabilities can enjoy professional services,change their own difficulties,tap their own potential,and improve their own capabilities.By integrating social resources,social workers have effectively promoted the social inclusion of persons with disabilities in self-help organizations.At the same time,the aim is to provide self-help organizations for persons with disabilities with an effective way of helping them to integrate into society.
