Against the background of fierce competition in the job market,persons with disabilities are in a more difficult position in the competition for employment due to physical reasons.The desire to find employment is relatively stronger among young people with disabilities,and employment is not only the basis for them to gain a foothold in society,but also the key to improving the lives of their families,enhancing their self-confidence and participating in social life.If the employment problem of young people with disabilities is not solved,it will lead to an Survival and development conditions are limited and further marginalise them from society,thus increasing the gap between the rich and the poor in society and affecting the aim of balanced social development.Therefore,it is of great practical importance to conduct a study on the employment of young people with disabilities in urban areas.This paper takes the group of youth with disabilities in city Z(aged 16-39)as the object of investigation.Through literature study,questionnaires and interviews,it investigates and studies the current situation and problematic performance of youth with disabilities in city Z.It also uses social exclusion and social capital theories to analyse the causes of the employment problems of youth with disabilities in the city,and puts forward targeted suggestions for supporting the employment of youth with disabilities: youth with disabilities should enhance their personal employability,employers should improve their The thesis proposes that young people with disabilities should enhance their individual employability,employers should increase their sense of social responsibility,the government and relevant institutions should strengthen guidance and improve the quality of employment services,and a social support network should be established with wide participation of social forces.The first part is the introduction,which explains the background of the topic,clarifies the significance of the study,gives an overview of domestic and international research,and at the same time expresses the content,ideas and methods of the paper,points out the innovations and shortcomings,defines the concepts,and finally elaborates the theoretical basis.The second part takes city Z as the object of investigation,fully understands the relevant policies in force and their implementation in order to promote the employment of disabled people in city Z,and summarises the practical problems in the employment of disabled young people in city Z.The third part analyses the causes of the employment problems of young people with disabilities in the city from four levels: individuals with disabilities,employers,government and related agencies,and society.The fourth part puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for supporting the employment of youth with disabilities.
