Study On The Factors Influencing Villagers’ Participation Behavior In Rural Governance And The Optimization Path ——Based On A Survey In Zhaogu Township,Henan Province

In order to fully comply with the new development of the times,the 19 th Party Congress report points out that the rural revitalization strategy should be vigorously implemented,focusing on establishing a sound rural governance system,attaching importance to rural grassroots work,and fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of villagers at the grassroots level,so that the majority of villagers can effectively participate in the overall rural governance and contribute to the governance.Therefore,how to make villagers give full play to their main role in rural governance and form positive participation behavior,it is necessary to study the influencing factors of villagers’ participation behavior,analyze the reasons for the formation of influencing factors,and propose targeted optimization paths.It is hoped that mobilizing villagers to participate in rural governance will provide a solid and lasting impetus for rural revitalization,and thus promote the innovation and improvement of China’s rural governance system.Guided by citizen participation theory,theory of planned behavior and digital governance theory,this paper selects villagers in Zhaogu Township,Henan Province as the survey objects.By using statistical methods to describe and analyze the questionnaire data,we find that the current situation of villagers’ participation behavior in Zhaogu Township is: participation rate and participation frequency are not high,lack of participation initiative,and failure to participate in rural governance in all aspects.In order to change this status quo,this paper conducts empirical analysis in four dimensions: individual characteristics,participation cognition,status quo satisfaction and information environment.To ensure the reliability of the conclusion,the reliability and validity tests are first conducted on the questionnaire,and then Spearman correlation coefficient is selected for preliminary screening of independent variables to eliminate insignificant variables,followed by covariance analysis to eliminate the influence of multiple covariance among factors,and finally regression analysis to screen out the significant factors affecting villagers’ participation behavior,i.e.,rural governance awareness,owner’s rights and responsibilities,satisfaction,and information content comprehension.The questionnaire data and the results of in-depth visits in Zhaogu Township were synthesized to find out the reasons for the formation of the influencing factors,and then the following optimization paths were proposed: first,vigorously promote rural economic development,second,improve the villagers’ self-governance system,third,strengthen publicity to enhance participation cognition,and fourth,enhance rural governance information dissemination and management.
