The internal and external operation mechanism of university foundations is the key factor affecting the effectiveness of organizational operation,but because of its numerous factors difficult to summarize,logical relationship between factors is difficult to describe,resulting in the lake of internal and external research of the operation mechanism.The operation mechanism is to promote the organization to achieve the interaction mechanism between factors and benign operation,the research significance of university foundations’ operation mechanism is that through the analysis of the foundations’ operation,the interaction mechanism of the institutional environment and the internal organization,through the investigation and empirical research related to the identification of the normal operation of what the factors affecting university foundations,so as to realize the important purpose of systematic analysis of the foundation operation mechanism.The university foundations of China were founded with a relatively short history.The factors of lag of policy,mode of university administration and others result in the difference of operation mechanism among the foundations,foreign counterparts and other domestic social organization.On the other hand,the fluids of operation mechanism research are still not abundant and comprehensive.The operating mechanism of the organization is integrated by the organization attributes and institutional environment,and the operation mechanism of the organization’s own property is restricted,thus appeared disjointed and difficulties in theory and practice.It is necessary for university foundations to be adapt to the system environment and get rid of the plight of development.Therefore,it is urgent to study the organization’s operating mechanism and development stage systematically,which will be of reference to the other charitable organizations.This thesis focuses on how to treat the relationship between the environment and the operation mechanism in organizational research.University foundations internal operation of the decision-making,execution and supervision system embodies the balance and authorization features,while many external environmental constraints,will produce embedded and external operation characteristics of involute.The research results of the domestic and foreign public welfare organizations,operation mechanism of university foundations based on new institutionalism theory,organizational ecology and collaborative governance theory,this thesis used the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and the case study method as an example of University Foundation A,and carried out relevant research organization network,internal governance,financing strategy and organization culture and operation mechanism of the basic elements,structure and behavior characteristics of attention university foundations of China.Starting with the analysis of influencing factors,the university foundation fulltime faculty of China are investigated in about mechanism factors in organizational structure,culture,environment,decision-making,internal governance,fundraising and investment operation.The survey shows that the foundations are open and is easy to be affected,and influence degree of some factors and the case is slightly different.The organizational culture influence factors score the highest,followed by the fundraising operation.Through the analysis research of factor,then launches to the organization macroscopic characteristic related exterior factor,and with the organization microscopic characteristic factor internal factor to the organization movement influence inquisition.To study the influencing factors of university foundation operation is the macro level and the micro level of the fund,as a case study to highlight the university foundation concrete operation,what specific internal factors and external institutional environment will affect the development of the foundations.Through participatory observation and case study,this thesis analyzes the internal operation mechanism of university foundations,and expounds the operation mechanism of decision-making,implementation and supervision of organizational system.Research on decision making mechanism including the balance and change the decision-making system,the board can reduce the environmental uncertainty and the integration of key resources,it can balance the organization and external stakeholders.The execution mechanism decomposition into fundraising,investment and internal governance should be regulated by the market allocation of resources,reasonable resource transformation,set up risk control mechanism,the contract to protect the public welfare and public donation project.Supervision mechanism emphasizes standards and public trust,standardized assessment and evaluation of the survival of the foundations,information disclosure laws and regulations to protect the public’s right to know,and actively disclose the organizational status to stakeholders.It analyzes the external operation mechanism of case system of foundations,the first definition of university foundations open organization and the relationship between the cultural boundary constraint inductive study of traditional culture and cognitive limitations caused by the institutional lag and taxation system and the proportion of incentive system caused by environmental constraints,this may lead to reduce tissue homogenization and operation efficiency,and produce involution mechanism because stakeholders embedded.The openness of the organization increases the fuzziness of the boundary,and the university control leads to the lack of the boundary of university foundations.As a relatively independent organization,university foundations should gradually clarify the organizational boundaries and accept the reasonable embeddedness of the university and society.University foundations rely on the resource supplement in the system,which is beneficial to the pressure of system environment,but the legitimacy is contrary to the efficiency mechanism.Involution is self-protection needs for university foundations to deal with environmental mechanism,but the lack of system space and resource supply lead to fine strategy and behavior.Operation mode of the existing university foundations is becoming more and more popular,but the motive force of innovation is weakening in the early days of establishment.It is urgent to supplement the breakthrough energy and improve the mechanism.This thesis summarized the conclusion for the foundation operation mechanism and system environment are highly correlated,formation of external operations and embedded involution mechanism;decision-making and implementation system of university foundation operation should realize the internal operation and supervision mechanism of three-in-one,formed the inner workings of the balance and authorization mechanism;influence of operation mechanism of macro characteristics of microstructure characteristic factor and organization of university foundations obviously,operation mechanism between foundations and individual differences in the focus of attention of university foundations.This is the first time the foundations operation mechanism research into the new institutionalism analysis framework of organization theory,collaborative governance theory and organizational ecology,analysis of influencing factors of university foundations and the first operation of foundations,the operation mechanism of the innovative research of internal decisionmaking,execution and supervision system and the external boundary,and involution of social embeddedness foundations,systematic reveal university foundations of internal and external operation mechanism.Through the discussion of the system environment and the operation mechanism of university foundations in micro level,this thesis analyzes the factors that influence the development and promotes the good operation of university foundations.Moreover,the research on the operation mechanism of university foundations have a wide range of social values,and technological means and innovative culture will become the research focus of the operation mechanism of public welfare organizations.
