This paper studies Yi language Education from the perspective of multi-cultural education. On the basis of presenting the historical changes of Yi language education,it focuses on the ethnographic description of the process of traditional Yi language Education Adapting to standardized teaching, reveals the tension between traditional education and modern school education, and further rethinks the theory of multi-cultural education.Traditional Yi language education mainly relies on the inheritance of Bimo culture, which is an important part of Bimo culture, showing the characteristics of integrity, practicality and life. However, the limitations of traditional Bimo cultural heritage weaken the ability of Yi language education to cope with social changes, making traditional Yi language education difficult in modern society.Yi language school has made an attempt to bring the traditional Yi language education into the standardized education system of secondary vocational schools, and critically inherit the traditional Yi language education from teachers, students, teaching and other aspects.By emplo Bimo as a teacher of Yi language, recruiting Yi language students of different ages widely, developing school-based teaching materials based on ancient Yi language books and other measures, traditional Yi language education is incorporated into the school teaching system, and on this basis, the mainstream school education model is used for reference, the teaching content, teaching procedures and teaching methods of Yi language teachers are standardized, and unified evaluation standards and standardized evaluation standards are established Teaching content and programmed teaching process. The unified, standardized and stylized Yi language education system has positive significance in promoting the popularization of Yi language education and accelerating the pace of traditional Yi language education following the progress of the times. However, the tension between traditional education and modern school education can be seen from the process of traditional Yi language education Adapting to standardized teaching. In this process, the cultural subjectivity of Yi language teachers has been reconstructed, the rich local knowledge has been reduced, the differentiated student groups have brought difficulties to the teaching and management of schools, and the traditional Yi language education with the characteristics of integrity, practicality and life and the integrated school education also have many problems to be coordinated. These tensions reveal the important issues of contemporaryeducation and culture, that is,how to establish the coordination and adaptation mechanism between the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities and modern school education. From the perspective of multicultural education theory, the educational activities of Yi language schools can bring beneficial enlightenment to the study of ethnic education in China.Students who do not perform well in general schools have succeeded in Yi language schools, which shows that it is feasible to use multi-cultural courses to improve the academic achievements of minority students to a certain extent, which provides a space for reflection on the limitations of the mainstream education mode. However, the case of Yi language school also brings new thinking direction to multicultural education theory.First of all,the complex phenomenon of Yi language and characters shows that there is no unity within the culture of ethnic minorities.Secondly,in the long-term historical development, the culture of all ethnic groups not only formed a unique internal development and evolution mechanism, but also condensed into a pluralistic and integrated pattern of the Chinese nation, integrating universality and diversity. The multi-cultural curriculum formed by the integration of different ethnic cultures creates a boundary for the cultural symbiosis and sharing between ethnic groups, which may affect the cultural exchange and development. Therefore, when we use the theory of multicultural education to examine our national education,we should not only consider the tension between traditional education and modern school education, but also rely on the balance between mainstream culture and non mainstream culture.
