| Since the release of new curriculum standards for special education in various disciplines in 2016,special education has set off a wave of teaching reform in China.How to respect the individual differences of each special student and provide them with targeted education has become a consideration for educators in special education.Although China has published unified textbooks based on the new curriculum standards,the difficulty of the textbooks is not suitable for special students and their content is not closely related to individual life of students.Therefore,how to prepare school-based textbooks that applies to various regions has become a research topic of special education schools.To this end,guided by the concept of the “Standards of Life Adaptability Curriculum in Compulsory Education of Peizhi Schools”promulgated by China in 2016,this paper drew on the achievements and experience of unified textbooks and other school-based textbooks in developed regions,and integrated the ability levels of different students and added them into the goals of mass teaching.The teaching content was selected,organized and presented based on the life content that students must master now and in the future.In teaching practice,the focus was always on physical and mental development of students to find the zone of proximal development.The life-centered modular course was applied to fully embody the practicality and openness of life adaptability curriculum and its closeness to real life.Through repeated practice for three thematic units in two semesters,the school-based curriculum of life adaptability in Panshi X Peizhi School was developed.A set of methodology for the development and application of school-based curriculum of life adaptability that applies to the students in the school was finally formed.It provides practical and theoretical experience for the development of school-based curriculum in peizhi schools of other Chinese counties and cities which have the same level with Panshi. |
