The high wastage rate of social worker has seriously restricted the healthy development of professional social work institutions.Thus slowing down the pace of social work organizations participating in social governance.Therefore,it is urgent to help social work organizations to study and solve the problem of high wastage rate of social workers.According to the research ideas of raising questions、analyzing problems and solving problems,this paper adopts interview method and participatory observation method for research.The author studies with the dual roles of researcher and worker,providing some internal information and implicit information that ordinary interviewees cannot experience,including: the latest social workers’ status and the development of social work institutions,and the latest strategies suitable for the development of institutions,etc.This paper adopts the method of "dissecting sparrows" and provides detailed empirical data through a detailed description of the development process of institution D to examine the following issues: the impact and expectation of government agents on the development of institutions in the process of implementing policies,the role of agency heads and social workers in the development of institutions,the role of social workers in the development of social work,the work undertaken by social workers in projects,and the work expectation of social workers,so as to find out the meso-and micro reasons for the high wastage rate of social workers.Previous researchers have mostly analyzed the high wastage rate of social workers from the superficial reasons such as low salaries of social workers and lack of recognition of professional values.Starting from the initial introduction of social work posts into China by the government,this paper reviews the evolution and current situation of the mechanism of purchasing social work services,and explores the deep-seated reasons that lead to low social work salaries and professional values that cannot be reflected.This article also analyzes other reasons for the high loss of social workers,including the single source of funds in social work institutions,the limited development of social work posts,and the existing problems in the mechanism of social work institutions.Finally,based on the analysis of the reasons for the high wastage rate of social workers,this paper puts forward more practical and feasible strategies for institutions to deal with the high wastage rate of social workers.
