| Cerebral palsy(CP)describes a group of permanent disorders of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, that are attributed to non-progressive disturbances that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain. It is a common disabling disease in children. With the development of medical and health services, the incidence of cerebral palsy is on the rise, the number of children with cerebral palsy is growing rapidly, and a large number of family caregivers of children with cerebral palsy have also appeared.Because cerebral palsy children have limited activities and require long-term rehabilitation, compared with normal children, cerebral palsy children need caregivers to provide more daily care and medical services,so their caregivers generally bear varying degrees of care burden. This study is based on a three-month case service work carried out on a mother of cerebral palsy children in a RL rehabilitation institution in Wuhan City, and explores the effectiveness of psychosocial treatment models applied to the care burden of cerebral palsy family caregivers. In this study, interviews, observations, and scales were used to conduct psychosocial research on the care burden of the research subjects,to understand the current status of the care burden of the research subjects, and then took the classification diagnosis of psychosocial treatment model to divide the care burden of the clients into physical, psychological and social burden, using multiple techniques of direct treatment and indirect treatment to intervene in these three aspects of the care burden respectively. In terms of physical burden,we mainly uses support techniques to provide breathing services to clients, encourage clients to learn bodybuilding exercise, and help clients obtain medical resources. In terms of psychological burden,we first used people-situation reflects technique to change the unreasonable perception of rehabilitation institution of the client, and then used the direct impact technique to eliminate the client’s excessive worry about menopause, and finally help the client obtain financial assistance to reduce the inner uneasiness. In terms of social burden, indirect treatment techniques are mainly used to improve the interaction between the client and the social environment, including the interaction between the client and the daughter, husband and neighbor. The research results show that: analyzing the care burden of family caregivers of children with cerebral palsy from the three levels of physical, psychological and physiological aspects is helpful for social workers to fully grasp the problem of the client. In the service process, social workers should give priority to the physical burden of cerebral palsy caregivers to establish a strong professional relationship and establish a basis for the intervention of psychological and social burdens. The psychosocial treatment model has a good effect on the care burden of family caregivers of children with cerebral palsy.Through the evaluation of the effect after the intervention,it was found that the care burden of the client dropped from a moderate burden to a light burden, the physical burden was reduced, the psychological burden was significantly alleviated, and the social burden was also gradually improving. Finally, this study reflects on the applicability and limitations of the psychosocial treatment model applied to the burden of caregivers of cerebral palsy children, and provides a reference for researchers to intervene in the burden of caregivers of children with cerebral palsy. |
