Interpersonal communication is the foundation for children to enter the society,understand the society and establish a good world view,outlook on life and values,and it is an important prerequisite to develop mental health and promote happiness.On the one hand,floating single fathers or mothers has more weak economic foundation,they are lack of confidence and pay less attention to their children’s interpersonal communication.On the other hand,private school’s teachers’ high mobility,community’s awareness and so on make some floating single-parent children lack of establishing good interpersonal skills with others.They often have different problems in the process of interpersonal communication,which affects their social development.In this study,community C is taken as the research site,and migrant children in single-parent families from 11 to 13 years old are selected as the research objects.In combination with the interview data and the survey results of interpersonal skills questionnaire,children who lack of interpersonal skills and in need to improve it are selected as the service objects.The data shows that the service object is weak in communication and emotional management.Based on the social learning theory and advantage perspective theory,we design and carry out 10 group activities to improve the children’s communication ability and emotional ability.After the group activity,the interpersonal skills questionnaire is used again to conduct post-test on the interpersonal skills of the service subjects,and the results show that the communication ability and emotional ability of the service subjects are improved.To some extent,group work is an effective means to improve the interpersonal skills of single-migrant children.At the same time,in order to better improve the interpersonal skills of migrant children in single-parent families,social workers should evaluate from the perspective of advantages and focus on the use of skills of encouragement and self-exposure.And social workers continuously expand the breadth of service and continue to follow up the effect of the service.In addition,this study focuses on the impact of children’s own causes on interpersonal skills.In the future activities,practicalintervention at the "family level" and "social level" should be further improved.
