The Relationship Between Secondary Vocational School Students’ Parenting Style And Career Adaptability | | Posted on:2021-06-18 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X C Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306305478194 | Subject:Master of Education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Secondary vocational education is the primary stage of vocational education,and the living state of secondary vocational students has been paid increasingly attention.Therefore,it is the objective demands of secondary vocational school students’development to enhance their consciousness of independent development and enhance their career adaptability,as well as the curriculum requirements of career education in secondary vocational schools.Analyzing the current situation and characteristics of career adaptability of secondary vocational school students and studying the influence mechanism of family rearing patterns on career adaptability of secondary vocational school students bear great significance on the development of secondary vocational school students.In this study,512 secondary vocational students were selected to issue questionnaires from Jangsu Province.This paper explores the current situation of career adaptability,parenting style and general self-efficacy of the secondary vocational school students,and makes an in-depth study of its internal mechanism of action by adopting the method of literature research and questionnaire survey.Finally,the following research result are obtained:(1)The parenting pattern of secondary vocational students are significantly different in gender,grade,origin of student,single child or not and single parent or not;The career adaptability of secondary vocational students is above the average level,among which the career control dimension is not high,with significant differences in grade and student origin factors;The general level of self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is not high,with significant differences in the factors of student origin and the only child or not.(2)The emotional warmth of parents is significantly positively correlated with the total career adaptability of secondary vocational students,while the rejection of parrents and the overprotection of father are significantly negatively correlated with the total career adaptability of secondary vocational students;The emotional warmth of parents is significantly positively correlated with the general self-efficacy of secondary vocational students;The general self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is significantly positively correlated with career curiosity career concern career control and career confidence.(3)In the family parenting style of secondary vocational students,the emotional warmth dimension of parents can positively predict their career adaptability.(4)In the family parenting style of secondary vocational students,the rejection of parrents and the father’s overprotection have a negative predictive effect on the career adaptability of secondary vocational students.(5)General self-efficacy of secondary vocational students can positively predict their career adaptability.(6)The general self-efficacy of secondary vocational students has a mediating effect on the influence of family parenting style on their career adaptability.Conclusion:Parents’ emotional warmth not only directly affect the career adaptability of secondary vocational students,but also indirectly affect their career adaptability through general self-efficacy. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Secondary vocational school students, Career adaptability, Parenting style, General self-efficacy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
