Strategies Study On Cross-cultural Communication To Promote The Dissemination Of Martial Arts In Confucius Institutes

Being the biggest and most developing country of the word,China’s international status is constantly improving,and foreign exchanges and cooperation are increasingly frequent.More and more international friends have a sharp increase in the demand for learning Chinese and a deep interest in China’s 5,000-year history and civilization.As the creation of the Chinese nation with a history of thousands of years of Chinese martial arts,from the production of human life,in Chinese traditional culture,one of the most impressive works is labor exercise of military war,which is also the essence of Chinese culture,has a fitness,self-defense,a variety of functions such as sports,entertainment,has a long history and is rooted in the folk,reflecting the Chinese nation,advocate natural,hold the great spirit of unity.Wushu culture can be summarized into three levels。Organic component is Chinese culture,Chinese Wushu has a complete theoretical and technical system,which bears the strong vitality of Chinese culture.It is a kind of Oriental civilization which takes skill as its essential attribute and pursues the realm of life.Wushu not only needs to be inherited and protected,but also is the name card of China.Its long history deeply reflects the wisdom of the East.China established Confucius Institute for non-profit,but for Chinese language and culture spreading,foucus on development and promition of martial arts for more opportunities.Martial art dissemination of Confucius Institue is open to all students from foreign countries with no Chinese experience,they learn from Chinese teachers as the body language of Chinese martial arts culture,cultural conflict,the difference of religious belief,stereotypes,such as cross-cultural communication obstacles appeared quickly,if adverse consequences will cause the audience’s anxiety,anger,fear,to hold you back.So far,Confucius Institutes still mainly focus on Chinese language teaching,without paying attention to the dissemination of martial arts,which is an excellent traditional Chinese culture,resulting in many deficiencies in the dissemination of martial arts in Confucius Institutes.Therefore,intercultural communication is very important in the teaching of martial arts in Confucius Institutes.The study of Wushu communication in Confucius Institutes must have a problem field oriented to the global society.Only in this way can the interrelated,interdependent and even overlapping relationships involved in the process of Wushu communication be deeply explored,and the measures for cross-cultural communication of Wushu be summarized.Based on the theoretical basis of intercultural communication,the dissemination of martial arts in Confucius Institutes can not only interpret the overall unity or change of different cultures and people of different nationalities in the face of differences,but also provide theoretical explanations for the cultural output of different cultures and actors,as well as the process of modification,renewal and understanding.Aim of my thesis is seen cross-cultural communication as the theoretical basis,put forward the importance of intercultural communication for the Confucius institute,martial arts,analyzing the status quo of the Confucius institute in the martial arts teaching,build Wushu cross-cultural communication strategy,make the students master the basic theory of martial arts,understanding cultural characteristics and connotation of martial arts,martial arts and other cultural forms of interaction and relationship.In this way,the efficiency and quality of intercultural communication of Wushu can be improved,the number of groups learning Chinese Wushu in the world can be increased,the historical mission of inheritance and communication of Wushu can be further clarified,the national self-confidence and responsiblity and mission should be strenghened to carry forward Chinese martial arts.
