Self-differentiation is an important task in the stage of mental health development of high school students,as well as an important indicator to measure their growth and development.The ability of individuals to maintain a balanced relationship between rational thinking and emotional attachment,emotional connection and independence under pressure is called self-differentiation ability.High school stage is a critical period for individual growth and development.High school students in this period have enhanced their sense of independence and independence,and gradually begin to get rid of their parents’ control and dependence.The important interpersonal relationship shifts from family relationship to peer relationship.Schools and families as the students the survival of the social system,the individual has extensive and profound influence on the feasibility of development,the level of self differentiation for high school students to deal with personal development,emotion regulation,interpersonal adaptation,etc,has a certain prediction effect,and is directly related to the development of their mental health.Therefore,exploring the relationship between the level of self-differentiation and the degree of interpersonal distress of senior high school students can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the rules of physical and mental development of senior high school students and help them achieve the perfection of personality.On the basis of exploring the relationship between high school students’ self-differentiation and interpersonal distress,this study designed targeted group counseling courses to conduct intervention research for students with low self-differentiation and high interpersonal distress.In this study,the Chinese Revision of Self-differentiation Scale(DSI-R)and Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale of Interpersonal Relationships were used as measurement tools,and cluster sampling method was used to select students from three grades of high school for measurement.A total of 720 questionnaires were sent out,678 of which were valid,with effective recovery rate of 94.2%.SPSS 26.0 software was used for data processing and analysis.On this basis,the 40 selected subjects were randomly divided into the control group(20 people)and the experimental group(20 people),the experimental group to carry out 8 times of self-differentiated group counseling courses,take the control group and the experimental group test results before and after comparison,to evaluate the effectiveness of group counseling to reduce the interpersonal distress of high school students.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The self-differentiation of senior high school students is above the average level,and there are only significant differences in gender variables and family structure variables.There were no significant differences in grade,place of origin,whether students lived in school,whether they were in class or not,and parents’ educational level.(2)The phenomenon of interpersonal distress in senior high school students is more common,and there are significant differences in variables such as gender,students’ origin,whether they live in school,whether they work in class or not,and their fathers’ educational level.There were no significant differences in grade,family structure and mother’s educational level.From the four dimensions of interpersonal troubles,high school students have the most prominent troubles in interpersonal and making friends,and less troubles in interpersonal relations.(3)The total score of self-differentiation and all dimensions of high school students were negatively correlated with the total score of interpersonal distress and all dimensions.The regression analysis showed that self-differentiation could explain44.9% of the variation in interpersonal disturbance,which indicated that self-differentiation could significantly negatively predict interpersonal disturbance.(4)Through the comparison of the difference test results of the research subjects,there are significant differences in the level of self-differentiation and interpersonal disturbance in the experimental group.The implementation of self-differentiation group counseling course intervention can significantly improve the level of self-differentiation and reduce the degree of interpersonal disturbance in high school students.
