Research On Employment Service Needs Of College Graduates

The employment of college graduates is one of the important contents of youth social work,and the state,universities and scholars pay close attention to the employment situation of college graduates.Under the increasingly severe employment situation,it is the development trend of employment services for colleges and universities to provide employment services to understand the needs of graduates and alleviate employment problems.Based on interviews with college graduates in W city,this paper studies the needs of college graduates for employment services.In this study,using participatory observation and semi-structured interview,20 college graduates were observed and interviewed from two stages of job-seeking preparation and job-seeking process,and three college employment guidance websites were compared to collect the employment service needs of graduates in job-seeking.According to Bradshaw’s quartering of needs,this paper expounds the contents of employment service needs from normative needs,sensory needs,expressive needs and comparative needs.After comparing the employment service needs of college graduates under the realistic and ideal conditions,the following shortcomings are found:insufficient employment service and policy propaganda in the early stage of job hunting,lack of career guidance,and less training in employability;In the process of job hunting,there are some problems,such as low pertinence of employment information,insufficient formal psychological support,lack of employment experience sharing and less assistance measures.In order to give full play to the role of employment service,it is difficult to meet the needs of graduates’ employment service only by the strength of colleges and universities.Therefore,starting from the social support network,on the one hand,we should increase the main providers of employment service and give full play to the roles of social work,social organization,student self-organization and family;On the other hand,it enriches the content of employment services,improves the existing employment services,makes up the missing employment services,and provides high-quality employment services for graduates.
