| Since the 1980s,due to the acceleration of China’s urbanization process and the adjustment of rural industrial structure,a large number of farmers have gone out of the country side and poured into the cities to work, forming a huge "tide of migrant workersv. The high-quality education resources and sound public infrastructure in the city have attracted more and more famous peasant workers to move to the city. The consequence is that more and more migrant workers’ children are living in the city.Protecting the education opportunities and educational rights and interests of migrant workers’ children is related to social stability and harmony.Since 1995,the education of migrant workers’children has been concerned by all walks of life. The state has issued a series of policies to protect the rights of migrant workers’ children to receive education in the cities where they are flowing in,especially the "two main" policy solves the problem of migrant workers’ children going to school in other places. However, with these migrant children entering urban schools, all kinds of reports about the discrimination and injustice of migrant workers’ children emerge one after another. The school education of migrant workers’ children concerns the realization of education equity in China. In order to deeply understand the current situation of school integration of migrant workers’ children in Wujiang District of Suzhou, the author takes t Primary School of Shengze Town in Wujiang District of Suzhou as a case study, and finds that there are still some problems that need to be improved in the process of school integration. Therefore, the purpose of this study is aimed at the children of migrant workers in public schools in Wujiang district This paper puts forward feasible suggestions to promote the physical and mental development of migrant children and provide support for their better integration into school and society.Using the method of qualitative research and quantitative research, this paper makes an empirical investigation on the integration status of migrant workers’ children in t primary school in Shengze Town,Wujiang District,Suzhou,in order to explore the integration status of migrant children in public schools in Wujiang district under the current point system.First of all, based on the analysis of interview data and questionnaire data, the author found that the migrant children have some problems, such as bad learning habits, backward academic performance, interpersonal relationship"Involution"and poor communication between home and school, which affect the integration of migrant workers’ children in public schools.Secondly, after in-depth analysis of the reasons, the author found that the limitations of national policies, the lack of family education, the superficial "inclusive" education in schools and the limitations of migrant children themselves are the important factors leading to the difficulties in school integration of migrant children. Finally, through the in-depth analysis of various factors affecting the integration of migrant workers’ children’s schools, this paper puts forward the path to promote the integration of migrant workers’ children’s schools. The specific measures include:the government should actively promote the reform of the education system, take multiple measures to promote educational equity;schools should create a pluralistic and inclusive campus culture, build a "Trinity" education mode;migrant workers should move with them Children’s families need to create a democratic and harmonious family environment, and pay more attention to the cultivation of endogenous force of migrant children.Only through the joint efforts of various aspects can we fundamentally solve the problem of integration of migrant workers’ children in public schools. |
