This study is based on the training methods developed by Dr.Ayres.The sensory integration ability of 4-5years old children was trained by water training.In order to improve children’s sense integration ability,this study should enhance the interest of training and develop children’s vestibular balance,coordination ability,proprioception and tactile by using the natural attribute of water.40 students aged 4-5 years old in the middle class of a kindergarten in an experimental Park in Zhengzhou were selected as the subjects,and randomly divided into two groups: the training group and the control group.The children in the training group were trained for 10 weeks,twice a week for one hour each time.The water training contents are 18 items,5 items at every turn,and the training is carried out by the gradual intermittent manner.The training group and the control group would not to be conducted sensory integration related training during the water training discussed with parents.At the same time,the sensory integration ability of children before and after training was tested,and the test results were analyzed.Results:After 10 weekstraining,both boys and girls in the training group showed significant improvement in vestibular balance ability.The girlssensory of touch increased significantly at the edge.Moreover,the children in the training group had some problems,such as poor concentration,keeping on making fidgety movements,when wearing shoes,they often can not distinguish left and right feet,writing out of rage and other problems,which were improved after water training.After 10 weeks,the girls in the control group showed significant improvement in Proprioceptive ability.There was no significant improvement inother items of sensory integration inthecontrol group.But which problems such as poor concentration,easily tripped when walking,always missing in things,difficult to share toys with others and other problems were not improved significantly.The above results indicate that water sports can promote children’s sensory integration ability to some extent.
