Research Of The Effect Of Demographic Dividend And Labor Participation Rate On Economic Growth In Five Autonomous Regions Of China

The demographic dividend has a very important impact on the economic growth of a country or a region.In order to make the demographic dividend work better for economic growth and give full play to the population age structure advantage brought by the demographic dividend,the labour participation rate needs to be maintained at a high level and the unemployment rate needs to be kept at a low level.At present,although the five autonomous regions in China are all at the stage of “demographic dividend”,the level of social and economic development is relatively backward,and the rate of economic growth is relatively slow.Therefore,based on the economic development of the five regions,we start with the relationship between the demographic dividend,labour participation rate and economic growth.Further research and analysis on the effects of the demographic dividend and labour participation rate on economic growth in the five regions.The economic development of the five autonomous regions will increase the rate of economic growth and narrow the gap with economic development in other regions.The main research contents are as follows:First of all,it sorts out and summarizes the relevant concepts of labor participation rate,demographic dividend and economic growth,and the related literature between the three,and theoretical analysis is carried out on the relationship between demographic dividend,labor participation rate and economic growth.Secondly,analyzes and statistics the economic growth and demographic dividends of China’s five autonomous regions from 2005 to 2016.Study the development trends of the five regions and the commonalities and differences between the regions.Then,based on the data on the demographic dividend,labour participation rate,and economic growth of the five autonomous regions in China from 2005 to 2016,co-integration tests were applied to the five regions.Analyse the co-integration relationship between the three and the effect of demographic dividend and labour participation rate on economic growth.The results show that the demographic dividend,labour participation rate and economic growth in the five regions have a co-integration relationship.In addition to the negative effect of Guangxi’s demographic dividend on economic growth,the demographic dividends of the other four regions have positive effects on economic growth,while the labour participation rates in the five regions have positive effects on economic growth.Finally,summarize the previous contents,and propose corresponding countermeasures for the specific situation of the five autonomous regions,including: 1.Vigorously promote the "supply side" economic reform,accelerate the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure.2.Actively revise and improve policies that are conducive to the improvement of labour participation rate,and encourage the input of labour factors.3.Attaches great importance to the development of human resources and intensifies the education and training.4.Comprehensively deepen the reform of the household registration management system and strengthen the effectiveness of the “demographic dividend”.5.Improve the society safeguard system and eliminate the worries of workers participating in labour.
