In the era of knowledge economy,the contractual employment relationship makes the employability of laborers become the factor considering by employers and main competitiveness of employees when they making choices.At the same time,China’s economy is at the crucial stage when it turns from rapid development to high-quality development,so it sets higher requirements on the quality of talent.As national young talents,university graduates take the heavy responsibility of national construction.Therefore,improving the employability of university graduates is not only to meet the standards of enterprises,but also to make the Chinese Dream come true.For university graduates,improving their employability is not only the core approach to acquire their dream job opportunities and avoiding unemployment,but also an important way to help them master the initiative in the labor market.This study takes university graduates as the research object.Firstly,it summarized the domestic and foreign researches about the connotation and development of employability of graduates,and then analyzes the current situation and development approaches of university graduates’ employability by using empirical methods.Finally,giving suggestions for university graduates about how to develop the employability.The main research consists two parts: The first part is the empirical analysis of college graduates’ employability.It is a comprehensive analysis of the employability of college graduates current situation,including the analysis of differences on gender and different universities,the analysis of the gap between expectation and self-evaluation of college graduates and the gap between the employability of university graduates and the demand of employer;Second,the current situation and efficiency of employability development for university graduates,including the current status of exploitable abilities of university and university graduates during their schooling,the effect about different employability exploitations to graduates’ employability development.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The development of university graduates’ employability between inter-group and inter-university is disequilibrium,and the difference is significant.(2)University graduates’ employability self-expectations and self-evaluation are inconsistent,the higher the expectation,the stronger the ability.(3)The self-evaluation of university graduates employability does not fit the business needs,but some specific abilities are outstanding.(4)The actual situation of employability development activities of universities and individuals do not match with the graduates’ need.(5)The development activities of universities and individuals have a positive and significant effect on improving the employability of university graduates.According to the research results,I’d like to give some suggestions.Universities play a leading role in improving the employability of graduates and should organize activities to support the graduates’ employability development;enterprises play a supporting role and should cooperate with schools and build a system of talent re-cultivation for university graduates;individual graduates play a key role in improving their employability,they should enhance the personal mobility and be involved actively in the development activities of universities.
