Research On The Impact Of Industrial Structure Adjustment On Labor Force Participation Rate In Hebei Province

The realization of high-quality economic development is inseparable from the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure.In the process of industrial structure adjustment and optimization and continuous improvement of scientific and technological innovation capabilities,many industries will put forward new and higher requirements for labor quality,and the labor employment structure will change accordingly.Adjustment will bring about changes in labor supply and demand.The labor force participation rate can not only reflect the supply of labor,but also describe the efficiency of labor utilization.In addition,it can also connect the optimization of the industrial structure with the optimization of the employment structure.Hebei Province has great advantages in terms of economy and population,and its industrial structure adjustment is also in a stage of rapid development.Therefore,studying how the adjustment of industrial structure will bring about changes in the labor force participation rate plays a vital role in promoting the optimization of the industrial structure of Hebei Province,the increase in labor supply,and the long-term economic stability.This article analyzes the changes in the labor force participation rate of Hebei Province during the process of industrial restructuring in Hebei Province from the perspectives of the impact effect and the role path.In terms of research on impact effects,the adjustment of industrial structure is measured based on two aspects of rationalization and advancement of industrial structure,and a vector autoregressive model of industrial structure adjustment of Hebei Province on labor force participation rate is established.After quantitative analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: industrial restructuring will lead to an increase in labor force participation rate;the contribution of the advanced industrial structure to the labor force participation rate is better than the contribution of the rationalization of the industrial structure to the labor force participation rate.Regarding the research path,choose economic level,institutional change,technological level,and human capital as intermediate variables to construct a PLS path analysis model of industrial structure adjustment to labor force participation rate.The results of the study found that the total effect of industrial structure adjustment on the labor force participation rate in Hebei Province is 0.427,that is,it has an obvious positive promoting effect;among the four intermediate variables,the path of action of the three intermediate variables: economic level,institutional change,and technological level all have positive effects,of which economic level has the most obvious effect.;while the action paths with human capital as intermediate variables plays a negative role.In the end,on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,this article deduces three policy recommendations: make the tertiary industry develop better;promote the development of high-tech innovation and improve the quality of labor;promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei with the support of policies.
